11. So that the priests could not stand to minister because of the cloud: for the glory of the LORD had filled the house of the LORD.
12. Then spake Solomon, The LORD said that he would dwell in the thick darkness.
2Cron 6.1
Then said Solomon, The LORD hath said that he would dwell in the thick darkness. ;Lev 16.2
And the LORD said unto Moses, Speak unto Aaron thy brother, that he come not at all times into the holy place within the vail before the mercy seat, which is upon the ark; that he die not: for I will appear in the cloud upon the mercy seat. ;Ps 18.11
He made darkness his secret place; his pavilion round about him were dark waters and thick clouds of the skies. ;Ps 97.2
Clouds and darkness are round about him: righteousness and judgment are the habitation of his throne. ;
13. I have surely built thee an house to dwell in, a settled place for thee to abide in for ever.
2Sam 7.13
He shall build an house for my name, and I will stablish the throne of his kingdom for ever. ;Ps 132.14
This is my rest for ever: here will I dwell; for I have desired it. ;
14. And the king turned his face about, and blessed all the congregation of Israel: (and all the congregation of Israel stood;)

Go and tell my servant David, Thus saith the LORD, Shalt thou build me an house for me to dwell in? ;
16. Since the day that I brought forth my people Israel out of Egypt, I chose no city out of all the tribes of Israel to build an house, that my name might be therein; but I chose David to be over my people Israel.
2Sam 7.6
Whereas I have not dwelt in any house since the time that I brought up the children of Israel out of Egypt, even to this day, but have walked in a tent and in a tabernacle. ;2Cron 6.5

And the LORD said unto Samuel, How long wilt thou mourn for Saul, seeing I have rejected him from reigning over Israel? fill thine horn with oil, and go, I will send thee to Jesse the Bethlehemite: for I have provided me a king among his sons. ;2Sam 7.8
Now therefore so shalt thou say unto my servant David, Thus saith the LORD of hosts, I took thee from the sheepcote, from following the sheep, to be ruler over my people, over Israel: ;1Cron 28.4
Howbeit the LORD God of Israel chose me before all the house of my father to be king over Israel for ever: for he hath chosen Judah to be the ruler; and of the house of Judah, the house of my father; and among the sons of my father he liked me to make me king over all Israel: ;
17. And it was in the heart of David my father to build an house for the name of the LORD God of Israel.
2Sam 7.2
That the king said unto Nathan the prophet, See now, I dwell in an house of cedar, but the ark of God dwelleth within curtains. ;1Cron 17.1
Now it came to pass, as David sat in his house, that David said to Nathan the prophet, Lo, I dwell in an house of cedars, but the ark of the covenant of the LORD remaineth under curtains. ;
18. And the LORD said unto David my father, Whereas it was in thine heart to build an house unto my name, thou didst well that it was in thine heart.
2Cron 6.8-9
But the LORD said to David my father, Forasmuch as it was in thine heart to build an house for my name, thou didst well in that it was in thine heart: ;
19. Nevertheless thou shalt not build the house; but thy son that shall come forth out of thy loins, he shall build the house unto my name.
2Sam 7.5-13
Go and tell my servant David, Thus saith the LORD, Shalt thou build me an house for me to dwell in? ;1Imp 5.3
Thou knowest how that David my father could not build an house unto the name of the LORD his God for the wars which were about him on every side, until the LORD put them under the soles of his feet. ;
20. And the LORD hath performed his word that he spake, and I am risen up in the room of David my father, and sit on the throne of Israel, as the LORD promised, and have built an house for the name of the LORD God of Israel.
1Cron 28.5-6
And of all my sons, (for the LORD hath given me many sons,) he hath chosen Solomon my son to sit upon the throne of the kingdom of the LORD over Israel. ;
