1. And Job answered and said,
2. No doubt but ye are the people, and wisdom shall die with you.
3. But I have understanding as well as you; I am not inferior to you: yea, who knoweth not such things as these?
Iov 13.2What ye know, the same do I know also: I am not inferior unto you. ;
4. I am as one mocked of his neighbour, who calleth upon God, and he answereth him: the just upright man is laughed to scorn.
Iov 16.10They have gaped upon me with their mouth; they have smitten me upon the cheek reproachfully; they have gathered themselves together against me. ;
Iov 17.2-6Are there not mockers with me? and doth not mine eye continue in their provocation? ;
Iov 21.3Suffer me that I may speak; and after that I have spoken, mock on. ;
Iov 30.1But now they that are younger than I have me in derision, whose fathers I would have disdained to have set with the dogs of my flock. ;
Ps 91.15He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honour him. ;
5. He that is ready to slip with his feet is as a lamp despised in the thought of him that is at ease.
6. The tabernacles of robbers prosper, and they that provoke God are secure; into whose hand God bringeth abundantly.
Iov 21.7Wherefore do the wicked live, become old, yea, are mighty in power? ;
Ps 37.1-35Fret not thyself because of evildoers, neither be thou envious against the workers of iniquity. ;
Ps 73.11-12And they say, How doth God know? and is there knowledge in the most High? ;
Ps 92.7When the wicked spring as the grass, and when all the workers of iniquity do flourish; it is that they shall be destroyed for ever: ;
Ier 12.1Righteous art thou, O LORD, when I plead with thee: yet let me talk with thee of thy judgments: Wherefore doth the way of the wicked prosper? wherefore are all they happy that deal very treacherously? ;
Mal 3.15And now we call the proud happy; yea, they that work wickedness are set up; yea, they that tempt God are even delivered. ;
7. But ask now the beasts, and they shall teach thee; and the fowls of the air, and they shall tell thee:
8. Or speak to the earth, and it shall teach thee: and the fishes of the sea shall declare unto thee.
9. Who knoweth not in all these that the hand of the LORD hath wrought this?
10. In whose hand is the soul of every living thing, and the breath of all mankind.
