1. Man that is born of a woman is of few days and full of trouble.
Iov 5.7Yet man is born unto trouble, as the sparks fly upward. ;
Ecl 2.23For all his days are sorrows, and his travail grief; yea, his heart taketh not rest in the night. This is also vanity. ;
2. He cometh forth like a flower, and is cut down: he fleeth also as a shadow, and continueth not.
Iov 8.9(For we are but of yesterday, and know nothing, because our days upon earth are a shadow:) ;
Ps 90.5-9Thou carriest them away as with a flood; they are as a sleep: in the morning they are like grass which groweth up. ;
Ps 102.11My days are like a shadow that declineth; and I am withered like grass. ;
Ps 103.15As for man, his days are as grass: as a flower of the field, so he flourisheth. ;
Ps 144.4Man is like to vanity: his days are as a shadow that passeth away. ;
Isa 40.6The voice said, Cry. And he said, What shall I cry? All flesh is grass, and all the goodliness thereof is as the flower of the field: ;
Iac 1.10-11But the rich, in that he is made low: because as the flower of the grass he shall pass away. ;

3. And doth thou open thine eyes upon such an one, and bringest me into judgment with thee?
Ps 144.3LORD, what is man, that thou takest knowledge of him! or the son of man, that thou makest account of him! ;
Ps 143.2And enter not into judgment with thy servant: for in thy sight shall no man living be justified. ;
4. Who can bring a clean thing out of an unclean? not one.

5. Seeing his days are determined, the number of his months are with thee, thou hast appointed his bounds that he cannot pass;
Iov 7.1Is there not an appointed time to man upon earth? are not his days also like the days of an hireling? ;
6. Turn from him, that he may rest, till he shall accomplish, as an hireling, his day.
Iov 7.16-19I loathe it; I would not live alway: let me alone; for my days are vanity. ;
Iov 10.20Are not my days few? cease then, and let me alone, that I may take comfort a little, ;
Ps 39.13O spare me, that I may recover strength, before I go hence, and be no more. ;
Iov 7.1Is there not an appointed time to man upon earth? are not his days also like the days of an hireling? ;
7. For there is hope of a tree, if it be cut down, that it will sprout again, and that the tender branch thereof will not cease.
Iov 14.14If a man die, shall he live again? all the days of my appointed time will I wait, till my change come. ;
8. Though the root thereof wax old in the earth, and the stock thereof die in the ground;
9. Yet through the scent of water it will bud, and bring forth boughs like a plant.
10. But man dieth, and wasteth away: yea, man giveth up the ghost, and where is he?
