1. Then Job answered the LORD, and said,
2. I know that thou canst do every thing, and that no thought can be withholden from thee.
Gen 18.14Is any thing too hard for the LORD? At the time appointed I will return unto thee, according to the time of life, and Sarah shall have a son. ;
Mat 19.26But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible. ;
Marc 10.27And Jesus looking upon them saith, With men it is impossible, but not with God: for with God all things are possible. ;
Marc 14.36And he said, Abba, Father, all things are possible unto thee; take away this cup from me: nevertheless not what I will, but what thou wilt. ;
Luc 18.27And he said, The things which are impossible with men are possible with God. ;
3. Who is he that hideth counsel without knowledge? therefore have I uttered that I understood not; things too wonderful for me, which I knew not.
Iov 38.2Who is this that darkeneth counsel by words without knowledge? ;
Ps 40.5Many, O LORD my God, are thy wonderful works which thou hast done, and thy thoughts which are to us-ward: they cannot be reckoned up in order unto thee: if I would declare and speak of them, they are more than can be numbered. ;
Ps 131.1Lord, my heart is not haughty, nor mine eyes lofty: neither do I exercise myself in great matters, or in things too high for me. ;
Ps 139.6Such knowledge is too wonderful for me; it is high, I cannot attain unto it. ;
4. Hear, I beseech thee, and I will speak: I will demand of thee, and declare thou unto me.
Iov 38.3Gird up now thy loins like a man; for I will demand of thee, and answer thou me. ;
Iov 40.7Gird up thy loins now like a man: I will demand of thee, and declare thou unto me. ;
5. I have heard of thee by the hearing of the ear: but now mine eye seeth thee.
6. Wherefore I abhor myself, and repent in dust and ashes.
Ezra 9.6And said, O my God, I am ashamed and blush to lift up my face to thee, my God: for our iniquities are increased over our head, and our trespass is grown up unto the heavens. ;
Iov 40.4Behold, I am vile; what shall I answer thee? I will lay mine hand upon my mouth. ;
7. And it was so, that after the LORD had spoken these words unto Job, the LORD said to Eliphaz the Temanite, My wrath is kindled against thee, and against thy two friends: for ye have not spoken of me the thing that is right, as my servant Job hath.
8. Therefore take unto you now seven bullocks and seven rams, and go to my servant Job, and offer up for yourselves a burnt offering; and my servant Job shall pray for you: for him will I accept: lest I deal with you after your folly, in that ye have not spoken of me the thing which is right, like my servant Job.
Num 23.1And Balaam said unto Balak, Build me here seven altars, and prepare me here seven oxen and seven rams. ;
Mat 5.24Leave there thy gift before the altar, and go thy way; first be reconciled to thy brother, and then come and offer thy gift. ;

9. So Eliphaz the Temanite and Bildad the Shuhite and Zophar the Naamathite went, and did according as the LORD commanded them: the LORD also accepted Job.
10. And the LORD turned the captivity of Job, when he prayed for his friends: also the LORD gave Job twice as much as he had before.
Ps 14.7Oh that the salvation of Israel were come out of Zion! when the LORD bringeth back the captivity of his people, Jacob shall rejoice, and Israel shall be glad. ;
Ps 126.1When the LORD turned again the captivity of Zion, we were like them that dream. ;
Isa 40.2Speak ye comfortably to Jerusalem, and cry unto her, that her warfare is accomplished, that her iniquity is pardoned: for she hath received of the LORD's hand double for all her sins. ;
