Iov 23.8-9Behold, I go forward, but he is not there; and backward, but I cannot perceive him: ;
Iov 35.14Although thou sayest thou shalt not see him, yet judgment is before him; therefore trust thou in him. ;
12. Behold, he taketh away, who can hinder him? who will say unto him, What doest thou?
Isa 45.9Woe unto him that striveth with his Maker! Let the potsherd strive with the potsherds of the earth. Shall the clay say to him that fashioneth it, What makest thou? or thy work, He hath no hands? ;
Ier 18.6O house of Israel, cannot I do with you as this potter? saith the LORD. Behold, as the clay is in the potter's hand, so are ye in mine hand, O house of Israel. ;
Rom 9.20Nay but, O man, who art thou that repliest against God? Shall the thing formed say to him that formed it, Why hast thou made me thus? ;
13. If God will not withdraw his anger, the proud helpers do stoop under him.
Iov 26.12He divideth the sea with his power, and by his understanding he smiteth through the proud. ;
Isa 30.7For the Egyptians shall help in vain, and to no purpose: therefore have I cried concerning this, Their strength is to sit still. ;
14. How much less shall I answer him, and choose out my words to reason with him?
15. Whom, though I were righteous, yet would I not answer, but I would make supplication to my judge.
Iov 10.15If I be wicked, woe unto me; and if I be righteous, yet will I not lift up my head. I am full of confusion; therefore see thou mine affliction; ;
16. If I had called, and he had answered me; yet would I not believe that he had hearkened unto my voice.
17. For he breaketh me with a tempest, and multiplieth my wounds without cause.
Iov 2.3And the LORD said unto Satan, Hast thou considered my servant Job, that there is none like him in the earth, a perfect and an upright man, one that feareth God, and escheweth evil? and still he holdeth fast his integrity, although thou movedst me against him, to destroy him without cause. ;
Iov 34.6Should I lie against my right? my wound is incurable without transgression. ;
18. He will not suffer me to take my breath, but filleth me with bitterness.
19. If I speak of strength, lo, he is strong: and if of judgment, who shall set me a time to plead?
20. If I justify myself, mine own mouth shall condemn me: if I say, I am perfect, it shall also prove me perverse.
