1. Why boastest thou thyself in mischief, O mighty man? the goodness of God endureth continually.
1Sam 21.7

2. The tongue deviseth mischiefs; like a sharp razor, working deceitfully.
Ps 50.19
Thou givest thy mouth to evil, and thy tongue frameth deceit. ;Ps 57.4
My soul is among lions: and I lie even among them that are set on fire, even the sons of men, whose teeth are spears and arrows, and their tongue a sharp sword. ;Ps 59.7
Behold, they belch out with their mouth: swords are in their lips: for who, say they, doth hear? ;Ps 64.3
Who whet their tongue like a sword, and bend their bows to shoot their arrows, even bitter words: ;

3. Thou lovest evil more than good; and lying rather than to speak righteousness. Selah.
Ier 9.4-5
Take ye heed every one of his neighbour, and trust ye not in any brother: for every brother will utterly supplant, and every neighbour will walk with slanders. ;

4. Thou lovest all devouring words, O thou deceitful tongue.

5. God shall likewise destroy thee for ever, he shall take thee away, and pluck thee out of thy dwelling place, and root thee out of the land of the living. Selah.
Prov 2.22
But the wicked shall be cut off from the earth, and the transgressors shall be rooted out of it. ;

6. The righteous also shall see, and fear, and shall laugh at him:

The righteous see it, and are glad: and the innocent laugh them to scorn. ;Ps 37.34
Wait on the LORD, and keep his way, and he shall exalt thee to inherit the land: when the wicked are cut off, thou shalt see it. ;Ps 40.3

And all men shall fear, and shall declare the work of God; for they shall wisely consider of his doing. ;Mal 1.5
And your eyes shall see, and ye shall say, The LORD will be magnified from the border of Israel. ;Ps 58.10
The righteous shall rejoice when he seeth the vengeance: he shall wash his feet in the blood of the wicked. ;

7. Lo, this is the man that made not God his strength; but trusted in the abundance of his riches, and strengthened himself in his wickedness.
Ps 49.6
They that trust in their wealth, and boast themselves in the multitude of their riches; ;

8. But I am like a green olive tree in the house of God: I trust in the mercy of God for ever and ever.
Ier 11.16
The LORD called thy name, A green olive tree, fair, and of goodly fruit: with the noise of a great tumult he hath kindled fire upon it, and the branches of it are broken. ;Osea 14.6
His branches shall spread, and his beauty shall be as the olive tree, and his smell as Lebanon. ;

9. I will praise thee for ever, because thou hast done it: and I will wait on thy name; for it is good before thy saints.
