1. Hear the right, O LORD, attend unto my cry, give ear unto my prayer, that goeth not out of feigned lips.
2. Let my sentence come forth from thy presence; let thine eyes behold the things that are equal.
3. Thou hast proved mine heart; thou hast visited me in the night; thou hast tried me, and shalt find nothing; I am purposed that my mouth shall not transgress.
Ps 16.7I will bless the LORD, who hath given me counsel: my reins also instruct me in the night seasons. ;
Iov 23.10But he knoweth the way that I take: when he hath tried me, I shall come forth as gold. ;
Ps 26.2Examine me, O LORD, and prove me; try my reins and my heart. ;
Ps 66.10For thou, O God, hast proved us: thou hast tried us, as silver is tried. ;
Ps 139.2Thou knowest my downsitting and mine uprising, thou understandest my thought afar off. ;

4. Concerning the works of men, by the word of thy lips I have kept me from the paths of the destroyer.
5. Hold up my goings in thy paths, that my footsteps slip not.
Ps 119.133Order my steps in thy word: and let not any iniquity have dominion over me. ;
6. I have called upon thee, for thou wilt hear me, O God: incline thine ear unto me, and hear my speech.
Ps 116.2Because he hath inclined his ear unto me, therefore will I call upon him as long as I live. ;
7. Shew thy marvellous lovingkindness, O thou that savest by thy right hand them which put their trust in thee from those that rise up against them.
Ps 31.21Blessed be the LORD: for he hath shewed me his marvellous kindness in a strong city. ;
8. Keep me as the apple of the eye, hide me under the shadow of thy wings,
Deut 32.10He found him in a desert land, and in the waste howling wilderness; he led him about, he instructed him, he kept him as the apple of his eye. ;
Zah 2.8For thus saith the LORD of hosts; After the glory hath he sent me unto the nations which spoiled you: for he that toucheth you toucheth the apple of his eye. ;
Rut 2.12The LORD recompense thy work, and a full reward be given thee of the LORD God of Israel, under whose wings thou art come to trust. ;
Ps 36.7How excellent is thy lovingkindness, O God! therefore the children of men put their trust under the shadow of thy wings. ;
Ps 57.1Be merciful unto me, O God, be merciful unto me: for my soul trusteth in thee: yea, in the shadow of thy wings will I make my refuge, until these calamities be overpast. ;
Ps 61.4I will abide in thy tabernacle for ever: I will trust in the covert of thy wings. Selah. ;
Ps 63.7Because thou hast been my help, therefore in the shadow of thy wings will I rejoice. ;
Ps 91.1-4He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. ;
Mat 23.37O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, thou that killest the prophets, and stonest them which are sent unto thee, how often would I have gathered thy children together, even as a hen gathereth her chickens under her wings, and ye would not! ;
9. From the wicked that oppress me, from my deadly enemies, who compass me about.
10. They are inclosed in their own fat: with their mouth they speak proudly.
Deut 32.15But Jeshurun waxed fat, and kicked: thou art waxen fat, thou art grown thick, thou art covered with fatness; then he forsook God which made him, and lightly esteemed the Rock of his salvation. ;
Iov 15.27Because he covereth his face with his fatness, and maketh collops of fat on his flanks. ;
Ps 73.7Their eyes stand out with fatness: they have more than heart could wish. ;
Ps 119.70Their heart is as fat as grease; but I delight in thy law. ;
1Sam 2.3Talk no more so exceeding proudly; let not arrogancy come out of your mouth: for the LORD is a God of knowledge, and by him actions are weighed. ;
