1. The LORD hear thee in the day of trouble; the name of the God of Jacob defend thee;
Prov 18.10
The name of the LORD is a strong tower: the righteous runneth into it, and is safe. ;

2. Send thee help from the sanctuary, and strengthen thee out of Zion;
1Imp 6.16
And he built twenty cubits on the sides of the house, both the floor and the walls with boards of cedar: he even built them for it within, even for the oracle, even for the most holy place. ;2Cron 20.8
And they dwelt therein, and have built thee a sanctuary therein for thy name, saying, ;Ps 73.17
Until I went into the sanctuary of God; then understood I their end. ;

3. Remember all thy offerings, and accept thy burnt sacrifice; Selah.

4. Grant thee according to thine own heart, and fulfil all thy counsel.
Ps 21.2
Thou hast given him his heart's desire, and hast not withholden the request of his lips. Selah. ;

5. We will rejoice in thy salvation, and in the name of our God we will set up our banners: the LORD fulfil all thy petitions.
Ps 9.14
That I may shew forth all thy praise in the gates of the daughter of Zion: I will rejoice in thy salvation. ;Ex 17.15
And Moses built an altar, and called the name of it Jehovahnissi: ;Ps 60.4
Thou hast given a banner to them that fear thee, that it may be displayed because of the truth. Selah. ;

6. Now know I that the LORD saveth his anointed; he will hear him from his holy heaven with the saving strength of his right hand.
Ps 2.2
The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the LORD, and against his anointed, saying, ;

7. Some trust in chariots, and some in horses: but we will remember the name of the LORD our God.
Ps 33.16-17
There is no king saved by the multitude of an host: a mighty man is not delivered by much strength. ;Prov 21.31
The horse is prepared against the day of battle: but safety is of the LORD. ;Isa 31.1
Woe to them that go down to Egypt for help; and stay on horses, and trust in chariots, because they are many; and in horsemen, because they are very strong; but they look not unto the Holy One of Israel, neither seek the LORD! ;2Cron 32.8
With him is an arm of flesh; but with us is the LORD our God to help us, and to fight our battles. And the people rested themselves upon the words of Hezekiah king of Judah. ;

8. They are brought down and fallen: but we are risen, and stand upright.

9. Save, LORD: let the king hear us when we call.
