1. My son, if thou wilt receive my words, and hide my commandments with thee;
Prov 4.21
Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart. ;Prov 7.1
My son, keep my words, and lay up my commandments with thee. ;

2. So that thou incline thine ear unto wisdom, and apply thine heart to understanding;

3. Yea, if thou criest after knowledge, and liftest up thy voice for understanding;

4. If thou seekest her as silver, and searchest for her as for hid treasures;
Prov 3.14
For the merchandise of it is better than the merchandise of silver, and the gain thereof than fine gold. ;Mat 13.44
Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto treasure hid in a field; the which when a man hath found, he hideth, and for joy thereof goeth and selleth all that he hath, and buyeth that field. ;

5. Then shalt thou understand the fear of the LORD, and find the knowledge of God.

6. For the LORD giveth wisdom: out of his mouth cometh knowledge and understanding.
1Imp 3.9
Give therefore thy servant an understanding heart to judge thy people, that I may discern between good and bad: for who is able to judge this thy so great a people? ;Iac 1.5
If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him. ;

7. He layeth up sound wisdom for the righteous: he is a buckler to them that walk uprightly.
Ps 84.11
For the LORD God is a sun and shield: the LORD will give grace and glory: no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly. ;Prov 30.5
Every word of God is pure: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him. ;

8. He keepeth the paths of judgment, and preserveth the way of his saints.
1Sam 2.9
He will keep the feet of his saints, and the wicked shall be silent in darkness; for by strength shall no man prevail. ;Ps 66.9
Which holdeth our soul in life, and suffereth not our feet to be moved. ;

9. Then shalt thou understand righteousness, and judgment, and equity; yea, every good path.

10. When wisdom entereth into thine heart, and knowledge is pleasant unto thy soul;
