11. For their redeemer is mighty; he shall plead their cause with thee.
Iov 31.21If I have lifted up my hand against the fatherless, when I saw my help in the gate: ;
Prov 22.23For the LORD will plead their cause, and spoil the soul of those that spoiled them. ;
12. Apply thine heart unto instruction, and thine ears to the words of knowledge.
13. Withhold not correction from the child: for if thou beatest him with the rod, he shall not die.
Prov 13.24He that spareth his rod hateth his son: but he that loveth him chasteneth him betimes. ;
Prov 19.18Chasten thy son while there is hope, and let not thy soul spare for his crying. ;
Prov 22.15Foolishness is bound in the heart of a child; but the rod of correction shall drive it far from him. ;
Prov 29.15-17The rod and reproof give wisdom: but a child left to himself bringeth his mother to shame. ;
14. Thou shalt beat him with the rod, and shalt deliver his soul from hell.
1Cor 5.5To deliver such an one unto Satan for the destruction of the flesh, that the spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus. ;
15. My son, if thine heart be wise, my heart shall rejoice, even mine.
Prov 23.24-25The father of the righteous shall greatly rejoice: and he that begetteth a wise child shall have joy of him. ;
Prov 29.3Whoso loveth wisdom rejoiceth his father: but he that keepeth company with harlots spendeth his substance. ;
16. Yea, my reins shall rejoice, when thy lips speak right things.
17. Let not thine heart envy sinners: but be thou in the fear of the LORD all the day long.
Ps 37.1Fret not thyself because of evildoers, neither be thou envious against the workers of iniquity. ;
Ps 73.3For I was envious at the foolish, when I saw the prosperity of the wicked. ;
Prov 3.31Envy thou not the oppressor, and choose none of his ways. ;
