11. Surely the serpent will bite without enchantment; and a babbler is no better.
Ps 58.4-5Their poison is like the poison of a serpent: they are like the deaf adder that stoppeth her ear; ;
Ier 8.17For, behold, I will send serpents, cockatrices, among you, which will not be charmed, and they shall bite you, saith the LORD. ;
12. The words of a wise man's mouth are gracious; but the lips of a fool will swallow up himself.
Prov 10.32The lips of the righteous know what is acceptable: but the mouth of the wicked speaketh frowardness. ;
Prov 12.13The wicked is snared by the transgression of his lips: but the just shall come out of trouble. ;
Prov 10.14Wise men lay up knowledge: but the mouth of the foolish is near destruction. ;
Prov 18.7A fool's mouth is his destruction, and his lips are the snare of his soul. ;
13. The beginning of the words of his mouth is foolishness: and the end of his talk is mischievous madness.
14. A fool also is full of words: a man cannot tell what shall be; and what shall be after him, who can tell him?
Prov 15.2The tongue of the wise useth knowledge aright: but the mouth of fools poureth out foolishness. ;
Ecl 3.22Wherefore I perceive that there is nothing better, than that a man should rejoice in his own works; for that is his portion: for who shall bring him to see what shall be after him? ;
Ecl 6.12For who knoweth what is good for man in this life, all the days of his vain life which he spendeth as a shadow? for who can tell a man what shall be after him under the sun? ;
Ecl 8.7For he knoweth not that which shall be: for who can tell him when it shall be? ;
15. The labour of the foolish wearieth every one of them, because he knoweth not how to go to the city.
16. Woe to thee, O land, when thy king is a child, and thy princes eat in the morning!
Isa 3.4-12And I will give children to be their princes, and babes shall rule over them. ;
Isa 5.11Woe unto them that rise up early in the morning, that they may follow strong drink; that continue until night, till wine inflame them! ;
17. Blessed art thou, O land, when thy king is the son of nobles, and thy princes eat in due season, for strength, and not for drunkenness!
Prov 31.4It is not for kings, O Lemuel, it is not for kings to drink wine; nor for princes strong drink: ;
18. By much slothfulness the building decayeth; and through idleness of the hands the house droppeth through.
19. A feast is made for laughter, and wine maketh merry: but money answereth all things.
Ps 104.15And wine that maketh glad the heart of man, and oil to make his face to shine, and bread which strengtheneth man's heart. ;
20. Curse not the king, no not in thy thought; and curse not the rich in thy bedchamber: for a bird of the air shall carry the voice, and that which hath wings shall tell the matter.
Ex 22.28Thou shalt not revile the gods, nor curse the ruler of thy people. ;
Fapt 23.5Then said Paul, I wist not, brethren, that he was the high priest: for it is written, Thou shalt not speak evil of the ruler of thy people. ;
