1. When Ephraim spake trembling, he exalted himself in Israel; but when he offended in Baal, he died.
2Imp 17.16
And they left all the commandments of the LORD their God, and made them molten images, even two calves, and made a grove, and worshipped all the host of heaven, and served Baal. ;Osea 11.2
As they called them, so they went from them: they sacrificed unto Baalim, and burned incense to graven images. ;SMS

2. And now they sin more and more, and have made them molten images of their silver, and idols according to their own understanding, all of it the work of the craftsmen: they say of them, Let the men that sacrifice kiss the calves.
Osea 2.8
For she did not know that I gave her corn, and wine, and oil, and multiplied her silver and gold, which they prepared for Baal. ;Osea 8.4
They have set up kings, but not by me: they have made princes, and I knew it not: of their silver and their gold have they made them idols, that they may be cut off. ;1Imp 19.18

3. Therefore they shall be as the morning cloud and as the early dew that passeth away, as the chaff that is driven with the whirlwind out of the floor, and as the smoke out of the chimney.
Osea 6.4
O Ephraim, what shall I do unto thee? O Judah, what shall I do unto thee? for your goodness is as a morning cloud, and as the early dew it goeth away. ;Dan 2.35
Then was the iron, the clay, the brass, the silver, and the gold, broken to pieces together, and became like the chaff of the summer threshingfloors; and the wind carried them away, that no place was found for them: and the stone that smote the image became a great mountain, and filled the whole earth. ;SMS

4. Yet I am the LORD thy God from the land of Egypt, and thou shalt know no god but me: for there is no saviour beside me.
Isa 43.11

5. I did know thee in the wilderness, in the land of great drought.
Deut 2.7
For the LORD thy God hath blessed thee in all the works of thy hand: he knoweth thy walking through this great wilderness: these forty years the LORD thy God hath been with thee; thou hast lacked nothing. ;Deut 32.10
He found him in a desert land, and in the waste howling wilderness; he led him about, he instructed him, he kept him as the apple of his eye. ;Deut 8.15
Who led thee through that great and terrible wilderness, wherein were fiery serpents, and scorpions, and drought, where there was no water; who brought thee forth water out of the rock of flint; ;Deut 32.10

6. According to their pasture, so were they filled; they were filled, and their heart was exalted; therefore have they forgotten me.

7. Therefore I will be unto them as a lion: as a leopard by the way will I observe them:

8. I will meet them as a bear that is bereaved of her whelps, and will rend the caul of their heart, and there will I devour them like a lion: the wild beast shall tear them.
2Sam 17.8
For, said Hushai, thou knowest thy father and his men, that they be mighty men, and they be chafed in their minds, as a bear robbed of her whelps in the field: and thy father is a man of war, and will not lodge with the people. ;Prov 17.12
Let a bear robbed of her whelps meet a man, rather than a fool in his folly. ;SMS

9. O Israel, thou hast destroyed thyself; but in me is thine help.
Prov 6.32
But whoso committeth adultery with a woman lacketh understanding: he that doeth it destroyeth his own soul. ;Osea 14.1
O israel, return unto the LORD thy God; for thou hast fallen by thine iniquity. ;Mal 1.9
And now, I pray you, beseech God that he will be gracious unto us: this hath been by your means: will he regard your persons? saith the LORD of hosts. ;Osea 13.4

10. I will be thy king: where is any other that may save thee in all thy cities? and thy judges of whom thou saidst, Give me a king and princes?
Deut 32.38
Which did eat the fat of their sacrifices, and drank the wine of their drink offerings? let them rise up and help you, and be your protection. ;Osea 10.3
For now they shall say, We have no king, because we feared not the LORD; what then should a king do to us? ;Osea 13.4
