11. Give us this day our daily bread.
Iov 23.12Neither have I gone back from the commandment of his lips; I have esteemed the words of his mouth more than my necessary food. ;

12. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.

13. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.

14. For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you:

Efes 4.32And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you. ;
Col 3.13Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye. ;
15. But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.
Mat 18.35So likewise shall my heavenly Father do also unto you, if ye from your hearts forgive not every one his brother their trespasses. ;
Iac 2.13For he shall have judgment without mercy, that hath shewed no mercy; and mercy rejoiceth against judgment. ;
16. Moreover when ye fast, be not, as the hypocrites, of a sad countenance: for they disfigure their faces, that they may appear unto men to fast. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.
Isa 58.5Is it such a fast that I have chosen? a day for a man to afflict his soul? is it to bow down his head as a bulrush, and to spread sackcloth and ashes under him? wilt thou call this a fast, and an acceptable day to the LORD? ;
17. But thou, when thou fastest, anoint thine head, and wash thy face;
Rut 3.3Wash thyself therefore, and anoint thee, and put thy raiment upon thee, and get thee down to the floor: but make not thyself known unto the man, until he shall have done eating and drinking. ;
Dan 10.3I ate no pleasant bread, neither came flesh nor wine in my mouth, neither did I anoint myself at all, till three whole weeks were fulfilled. ;
18. That thou appear not unto men to fast, but unto thy Father which is in secret: and thy Father, which seeth in secret, shall reward thee openly.
19. Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal:
Prov 23.4Labour not to be rich: cease from thine own wisdom. ;
1Tim 6.17Charge them that are rich in this world, that they be not highminded, nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God, who giveth us richly all things to enjoy; ;
Evr 13.5Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee. ;
Iac 5.1Go to now, ye rich men, weep and howl for your miseries that shall come upon you. ;
20. But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal:
Mat 19.21Jesus said unto him, If thou wilt be perfect, go and sell that thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come and follow me. ;
Luc 12.33-34Sell that ye have, and give alms; provide yourselves bags which wax not old, a treasure in the heavens that faileth not, where no thief approacheth, neither moth corrupteth. ;
Luc 18.22Now when Jesus heard these things, he said unto him, Yet lackest thou one thing: sell all that thou hast, and distribute unto the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, follow me. ;
