51. Suppose ye that I am come to give peace on earth? I tell you, Nay; but rather division:

Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword. ;Luca 12.49

For the son dishonoureth the father, the daughter riseth up against her mother, the daughter in law against her mother in law; a man's enemies are the men of his own house. ;Ioan 7.43
So there was a division among the people because of him. ;Ioan 9.16
Therefore said some of the Pharisees, This man is not of God, because he keepeth not the sabbath day. Others said, How can a man that is a sinner do such miracles? And there was a division among them. ;Ioan 10.19
There was a division therefore again among the Jews for these sayings. ;

52. For from henceforth there shall be five in one house divided, three against two, and two against three.

For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law. ;

53. The father shall be divided against the son, and the son against the father; the mother against the daughter, and the daughter against the mother; the mother in law against her daughter in law, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.

54. And he said also to the people, When ye see a cloud rise out of the west, straightway ye say, There cometh a shower; and so it is.

He answered and said unto them, When it is evening, ye say, It will be fair weather: for the sky is red. ;

55. And when ye see the south wind blow, ye say, There will be heat; and it cometh to pass.

56. Ye hypocrites, ye can discern the face of the sky and of the earth; but how is it that ye do not discern this time?

57. Yea, and why even of yourselves judge ye not what is right?

58. When thou goest with thine adversary to the magistrate, as thou art in the way, give diligence that thou mayest be delivered from him; lest he hale thee to the judge, and the judge deliver thee to the officer, and the officer cast thee into prison.
Prov 25.8
Go not forth hastily to strive, lest thou know not what to do in the end thereof, when thy neighbour hath put thee to shame. ;Mat 5.25
Agree with thine adversary quickly, whiles thou art in the way with him; lest at any time the adversary deliver thee to the judge, and the judge deliver thee to the officer, and thou be cast into prison. ;Ps 32.6
For this shall every one that is godly pray unto thee in a time when thou mayest be found: surely in the floods of great waters they shall not come nigh unto him. ;Isa 55.6
Seek ye the LORD while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near: ;

59. I tell thee, thou shalt not depart thence, till thou hast paid the very last mite.
