11. He came unto his own, and his own received him not.
Luc 19.14
But his citizens hated him, and sent a message after him, saying, We will not have this man to reign over us. ;Fapt 3.26
Unto you first God, having raised up his Son Jesus, sent him to bless you, in turning away every one of you from his iniquities. ;Fapt 13.46
Then Paul and Barnabas waxed bold, and said, It was necessary that the word of God should first have been spoken to you: but seeing ye put it from you, and judge yourselves unworthy of everlasting life, lo, we turn to the Gentiles. ;

12. But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:
Isa 56.5
Even unto them will I give in mine house and within my walls a place and a name better than of sons and of daughters: I will give them an everlasting name, that shall not be cut off. ;Rom 8.15
For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father. ;Gal 3.26
For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus. ;2Pet 1.4
Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust. ;1Ioan 3.1
Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not. ;

13. Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.

Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. ;Iac 1.18
Of his own will begat he us with the word of truth, that we should be a kind of firstfruits of his creatures. ;1Pet 1.23
Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever. ;

14. And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

In whom are hid all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge. ;

15. John bare witness of him, and cried, saying, This was he of whom I spake, He that cometh after me is preferred before me: for he was before me.

And what he hath seen and heard, that he testifieth; and no man receiveth his testimony. ;Ioan 5.33

I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance: but he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and with fire: ;Marc 1.7

John answered, saying unto them all, I indeed baptize you with water; but one mightier than I cometh, the latchet of whose shoes I am not worthy to unloose: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost and with fire: ;Ioan 1.27-30
He it is, who coming after me is preferred before me, whose shoe's latchet I am not worthy to unloose. ;Ioan 3.13

And he is before all things, and by him all things consist. ;

16. And of his fulness have all we received, and grace for grace.
Ioan 3.34
For he whom God hath sent speaketh the words of God: for God giveth not the Spirit by measure unto him. ;Efes 1.6-8
To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved. ;Col 1.19
For it pleased the Father that in him should all fulness dwell; ;Col 2.9-10
For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily. ;

17. For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ.
Ex 20.1
And God spake all these words, saying, ;Deut 4.44
And this is the law which Moses set before the children of Israel: ;Deut 5.1
And Moses called all Israel, and said unto them, Hear, O Israel, the statutes and judgments which I speak in your ears this day, that ye may learn them, and keep, and do them. ;Deut 33.4
Moses commanded us a law, even the inheritance of the congregation of Jacob. ;Rom 3.24
Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus: ;Rom 5.21
That as sin hath reigned unto death, even so might grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord. ;Rom 6.14
For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace. ;Ioan 8.32
And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free. ;Ioan 14.6
Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. ;

18. No man hath seen God at any time, the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him.

And the LORD spake unto you out of the midst of the fire: ye heard the voice of the words, but saw no similitude; only ye heard a voice. ;Mat 11.27
All things are delivered unto me of my Father: and no man knoweth the Son, but the Father; neither knoweth any man the Father, save the Son, and he to whomsoever the Son will reveal him. ;Luc 10.22
All things are delivered to me of my Father: and no man knoweth who the Son is, but the Father; and who the Father is, but the Son, and he to whom the Son will reveal him. ;Ioan 6.46

19. And this is the record of John, when the Jews sent priests and Levites from Jerusalem to ask him, Who art thou?

20. And he confessed, and denied not; but confessed, I am not the Christ.

And as the people were in expectation, and all men mused in their hearts of John, whether he were the Christ, or not; ;Ioan 3.28
Ye yourselves bear me witness, that I said, I am not the Christ, but that I am sent before him. ;Fapt 13.25
And as John fulfilled his course, he said, Whom think ye that I am? I am not he. But, behold, there cometh one after me, whose shoes of his feet I am not worthy to loose. ;
