11. He came unto his own, and his own received him not.
Luc 19.14
But his citizens hated him, and sent a message after him, saying, We will not have this man to reign over us. ;Fapt 3.26

14. And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

15. John bare witness of him, and cried, saying, This was he of whom I spake, He that cometh after me is preferred before me: for he was before me.

17. For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ.
Ex 20.1

And Moses called all Israel, and said unto them, Hear, O Israel, the statutes and judgments which I speak in your ears this day, that ye may learn them, and keep, and do them. ;Deut 33.4
Moses commanded us a law, even the inheritance of the congregation of Jacob. ;Rom 3.24
Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus: ;Rom 5.21
That as sin hath reigned unto death, even so might grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord. ;Rom 6.14
