1. Now before the feast of the passover, when Jesus knew that his hour was come that he should depart out of this world unto the Father, having loved his own which were in the world, he loved them unto the end.
Mat 26.2Ye know that after two days is the feast of the passover, and the Son of man is betrayed to be crucified. ;
Ioan 12.23And Jesus answered them, saying, The hour is come, that the Son of man should be glorified. ;
Ioan 17.1-11These words spake Jesus, and lifted up his eyes to heaven, and said, Father, the hour is come; glorify thy Son, that thy Son also may glorify thee: ;
2. And supper being ended, the devil having now put into the heart of Judas Iscariot, Simon's son, to betray him;

3. Jesus knowing that the Father had given all things into his hands, and that he was come from God, and went to God;
Mat 11.27All things are delivered unto me of my Father: and no man knoweth the Son, but the Father; neither knoweth any man the Father, save the Son, and he to whomsoever the Son will reveal him. ;
Mat 28.18And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. ;
Ioan 3.35The Father loveth the Son, and hath given all things into his hand. ;

5. After that he poureth water into a bason, and began to wash the disciples' feet, and to wipe them with the towel wherewith he was girded.
6. Then cometh he to Simon Peter: and Peter saith unto him, Lord, dost thou wash my feet?
Mat 3.14But John forbad him, saying, I have need to be baptized of thee, and comest thou to me? ;
7. Jesus answered and said unto him, What I do thou knowest not now; but thou shalt know hereafter.
Ioan 13.12So after he had washed their feet, and had taken his garments, and was set down again, he said unto them, Know ye what I have done to you? ;
8. Peter saith unto him, Thou shalt never wash my feet. Jesus answered him, If I wash thee not, thou hast no part with me.
Ioan 3.5Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. ;
1Cor 6.11And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God. ;
Efes 5.26That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word, ;

9. Simon Peter saith unto him, Lord, not my feet only, but also my hands and my head.
10. Jesus saith to him, He that is washed needeth not save to wash his feet, but is clean every whit: and ye are clean, but not all.
Ioan 15.3Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you. ;
