31. Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed;

32. And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.
Rom 6.14-22
For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace. ;Rom 8.2
For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death. ;Iac 1.25
But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed. ;Iac 2.12
So speak ye, and so do, as they that shall be judged by the law of liberty. ;

33. They answered him, We be Abraham's seed, and were never in bondage to any man: how sayest thou, Ye shall be made free?
Lev 25.42
For they are my servants, which I brought forth out of the land of Egypt: they shall not be sold as bondmen. ;Mat 3.9
And think not to say within yourselves, We have Abraham to our father: for I say unto you, that God is able of these stones to raise up children unto Abraham. ;Ioan 8.39
They answered and said unto him, Abraham is our father. Jesus saith unto them, If ye were Abraham's children, ye would do the works of Abraham. ;

34. Jesus answered them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whosoever committeth sin is the servant of sin.
Rom 6.16-20
Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness? ;2Pet 2.19
While they promise them liberty, they themselves are the servants of corruption: for of whom a man is overcome, of the same is he brought in bondage. ;

35. And the servant abideth not in the house for ever: but the Son abideth ever.
Gal 4.30
Nevertheless what saith the scripture? Cast out the bondwoman and her son: for the son of the bondwoman shall not be heir with the son of the freewoman. ;

36. If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.
Rom 8.2
For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death. ;Gal 5.1
Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage. ;

37. I know that ye are Abraham's seed; but ye seek to kill me, because my word hath no place in you.
Ioan 7.19
Did not Moses give you the law, and yet none of you keepeth the law? Why go ye about to kill me? ;Ioan 8.40
But now ye seek to kill me, a man that hath told you the truth, which I have heard of God: this did not Abraham. ;

38. I speak that which I have seen with my Father: and ye do that which ye have seen with your father.

39. They answered and said unto him, Abraham is our father. Jesus saith unto them, If ye were Abraham's children, ye would do the works of Abraham.
