1. The former treatise have I made, O Theophilus, of all that Jesus began both to do and teach,
Luc 1.3It seemed good to me also, having had perfect understanding of all things from the very first, to write unto thee in order, most excellent Theophilus, ;
2. Until the day in which he was taken up, after that he through the Holy Ghost had given commandments unto the apostles whom he had chosen:
Marc 16.19So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God. ;
Luc 9.51And it came to pass, when the time was come that he should be received up, he stedfastly set his face to go to Jerusalem, ;
Luc 24.51And it came to pass, while he blessed them, he was parted from them, and carried up into heaven. ;
Fapt 1.9And when he had spoken these things, while they beheld, he was taken up; and a cloud received him out of their sight. ;
1Tim 3.16And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory. ;
Mat 28.19Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: ;

3. To whom also he shewed himself alive after his passion by many infallible proofs, being seen of them forty days, and speaking of the things pertaining to the kingdom of God:
Marc 16.14Afterward he appeared unto the eleven as they sat at meat, and upbraided them with their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they believed not them which had seen him after he was risen. ;
Luc 24.36And as they thus spake, Jesus himself stood in the midst of them, and saith unto them, Peace be unto you. ;
Ioan 20.19-26Then the same day at evening, being the first day of the week, when the doors were shut where the disciples were assembled for fear of the Jews, came Jesus and stood in the midst, and saith unto them, Peace be unto you. ;

4. And, being assembled together with them, commanded them that they should not depart from Jerusalem, but wait for the promise of the Father, which, saith he, ye have heard of me.
Luc 24.43-49And he took it, and did eat before them. ;
Luc 24.49And, behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high. ;
Ioan 14.16-27And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever; ;
Ioan 15.26But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me: ;
Ioan 16.7Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you. ;
Fapt 2.33Therefore being by the right hand of God exalted, and having received of the Father the promise of the Holy Ghost, he hath shed forth this, which ye now see and hear. ;
5. For John truly baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost not many days hence.
Mat 3.11I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance: but he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and with fire: ;
Fapt 11.16Then remembered I the word of the Lord, how that he said, John indeed baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost. ;
Fapt 19.4Then said Paul, John verily baptized with the baptism of repentance, saying unto the people, that they should believe on him which should come after him, that is, on Christ Jesus. ;
Ioel 3.18And it shall come to pass in that day, that the mountains shall drop down new wine, and the hills shall flow with milk, and all the rivers of Judah shall flow with waters, and a fountain shall come forth out of the house of the LORD, and shall water the valley of Shittim. ;
Fapt 2.4And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance. ;
Fapt 11.15And as I began to speak, the Holy Ghost fell on them, as on us at the beginning. ;
6. When they therefore were come together, they asked of him, saying, Lord, wilt thou at this time restore again the kingdom to Israel?
Mat 24.3And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world? ;
Isa 1.26And I will restore thy judges as at the first, and thy counsellors as at the beginning: afterward thou shalt be called, The city of righteousness, the faithful city. ;
Dan 7.27And the kingdom and dominion, and the greatness of the kingdom under the whole heaven, shall be given to the people of the saints of the most High, whose kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and all dominions shall serve and obey him. ;
Amos 9.11In that day will I raise up the tabernacle of David that is fallen, and close up the breaches thereof; and I will raise up his ruins, and I will build it as in the days of old: ;
7. And he said unto them, It is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the Father hath put in his own power.
Mat 24.36But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only. ;
Marc 13.32But of that day and that hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels which are in heaven, neither the Son, but the Father. ;
1Tes 5.1But of the times and the seasons, brethren, ye have no need that I write unto you. ;
8. But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.
Fapt 2.1-4And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. ;
Luc 24.49And, behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high. ;
Luc 24.48And ye are witnesses of these things. ;
Ioan 15.27And ye also shall bear witness, because ye have been with me from the beginning. ;
Fapt 1.22Beginning from the baptism of John, unto that same day that he was taken up from us, must one be ordained to be a witness with us of his resurrection. ;
Fapt 2.32This Jesus hath God raised up, whereof we all are witnesses. ;
9. And when he had spoken these things, while they beheld, he was taken up; and a cloud received him out of their sight.
Luc 24.51And it came to pass, while he blessed them, he was parted from them, and carried up into heaven. ;
Ioan 6.62What and if ye shall see the Son of man ascend up where he was before? ;

Luc 24.4And it came to pass, as they were much perplexed thereabout, behold, two men stood by them in shining garments: ;
Ioan 20.12And seeth two angels in white sitting, the one at the head, and the other at the feet, where the body of Jesus had lain. ;
Fapt 10.3-30He saw in a vision evidently about the ninth hour of the day an angel of God coming in to him, and saying unto him, Cornelius. ;
