11. Now there came a dearth over all the land of Egypt and Chanaan, and great affliction: and our fathers found no sustenance.
Gen 41.54
And the seven years of dearth began to come, according as Joseph had said: and the dearth was in all lands; but in all the land of Egypt there was bread. ;
12. But when Jacob heard that there was corn in Egypt, he sent out our fathers first.
Gen 42.1
Now when Jacob saw that there was corn in Egypt, Jacob said unto his sons, Why do ye look one upon another? ;
13. And at the second time Joseph was made known to his brethren; and Joseph's kindred was made known unto Pharaoh.
Gen 45.4-16
And Joseph said unto his brethren, Come near to me, I pray you. And they came near. And he said, I am Joseph your brother, whom ye sold into Egypt. ;
14. Then sent Joseph, and called his father Jacob to him, and all his kindred, threescore and fifteen souls.
Gen 45.9-27
Haste ye, and go up to my father, and say unto him, Thus saith thy son Joseph, God hath made me lord of all Egypt: come down unto me, tarry not: ;Gen 46.27
And the sons of Joseph, which were born him in Egypt, were two souls: all the souls of the house of Jacob, which came into Egypt, were threescore and ten. ;Deut 10.22
Thy fathers went down into Egypt with threescore and ten persons; and now the LORD thy God hath made thee as the stars of heaven for multitude. ;
15. So Jacob went down into Egypt, and died, he, and our fathers,
Gen 46.5
And Jacob rose up from Beersheba: and the sons of Israel carried Jacob their father, and their little ones, and their wives, in the wagons which Pharaoh had sent to carry him. ;Gen 49.33
And when Jacob had made an end of commanding his sons, he gathered up his feet into the bed, and yielded up the ghost, and was gathered unto his people. ;Ex 1.6
And Joseph died, and all his brethren, and all that generation. ;
16. And were carried over into Sychem, and laid in the sepulchre that Abraham bought for a sum of money of the sons of Emmor the father of Sychem.
Ex 13.19
And Moses took the bones of Joseph with him: for he had straitly sworn the children of Israel, saying, God will surely visit you; and ye shall carry up my bones away hence with you. ;Ios 24.32
And the bones of Joseph, which the children of Israel brought up out of Egypt, buried they in Shechem, in a parcel of ground which Jacob bought of the sons of Hamor the father of Shechem for an hundred pieces of silver: and it became the inheritance of the children of Joseph. ;Gen 23.16
And Abraham hearkened unto Ephron; and Abraham weighed to Ephron the silver, which he had named in the audience of the sons of Heth, four hundred shekels of silver, current money with the merchant. ;Gen 33.19
And he bought a parcel of a field, where he had spread his tent, at the hand of the children of Hamor, Shechem's father, for an hundred pieces of money. ;
17. But when the time of the promise drew nigh, which God had sworn to Abraham, the people grew and multiplied in Egypt,
Gen 15.13
And he said unto Abram, Know of a surety that thy seed shall be a stranger in a land that is not theirs, and shall serve them; and they shall afflict them four hundred years; ;Fapt 7.6
And God spake on this wise, That his seed should sojourn in a strange land; and that they should bring them into bondage, and entreat them evil four hundred years. ;Ex 1.7-9
And the children of Israel were fruitful, and increased abundantly, and multiplied, and waxed exceeding mighty; and the land was filled with them. ;Ps 105.24-25
And he increased his people greatly; and made them stronger than their enemies. ;
18. Till another king arose, which knew not Joseph.
19. The same dealt subtilly with our kindred, and evil entreated our fathers, so that they cast out their young children, to the end they might not live.
Ex 1.22
And Pharaoh charged all his people, saying, Every son that is born ye shall cast into the river, and every daughter ye shall save alive. ;
20. In which time Moses was born, and was exceeding fair, and nourished up in his father's house three months:
Ex 2.2
And the woman conceived, and bare a son: and when she saw him that he was a goodly child, she hid him three months. ;Evr 11.23
By faith Moses, when he was born, was hid three months of his parents, because they saw he was a proper child; and they were not afraid of the king's commandment. ;
