1. And after five days Ananias the high priest descended with the elders, and with a certain orator named Tertullus, who informed the governor against Paul.
Fapt 21.27
And when the seven days were almost ended, the Jews which were of Asia, when they saw him in the temple, stirred up all the people, and laid hands on him, ;Fapt 23.2-35
And the high priest Ananias commanded them that stood by him to smite him on the mouth. ;Fapt 25.2
Then the high priest and the chief of the Jews informed him against Paul, and besought him, ;
2. And when he was called forth, Tertullus began to accuse him, saying, Seeing that by thee we enjoy great quietness, and that very worthy deeds are done unto this nation by thy providence,
3. We accept it always, and in all places, most noble Felix, with all thankfulness.
4. Notwithstanding, that I be not further tedious unto thee, I pray thee that thou wouldest hear us of thy clemency a few words.
5. For we have found this man a pestilent fellow, and a mover of sedition among all the Jews throughout the world, and a ringleader of the sect of the Nazarenes:
Luc 23.2
And they began to accuse him, saying, We found this fellow perverting the nation, and forbidding to give tribute to Caesar, saying that he himself is Christ a King. ;Fapt 6.13
And set up false witnesses, which said, This man ceaseth not to speak blasphemous words against this holy place, and the law: ;Fapt 16.20
And brought them to the magistrates, saying, These men, being Jews, do exceedingly trouble our city, ;Fapt 17.6
And when they found them not, they drew Jason and certain brethren unto the rulers of the city, crying, These that have turned the world upside down are come hither also; ;Fapt 21.28
Crying out, Men of Israel, help: This is the man, that teacheth all men every where against the people, and the law, and this place: and further brought Greeks also into the temple, and hath polluted this holy place. ;1Pet 2.12-15
Having your conversation honest among the Gentiles: that, whereas they speak against you as evildoers, they may by your good works, which they shall behold, glorify God in the day of visitation. ;
6. Who also hath gone about to profane the temple: whom we took, and would have judged according to our law.
Fapt 21.28
Crying out, Men of Israel, help: This is the man, that teacheth all men every where against the people, and the law, and this place: and further brought Greeks also into the temple, and hath polluted this holy place. ;Ioan 18.31
Then said Pilate unto them, Take ye him, and judge him according to your law. The Jews therefore said unto him, It is not lawful for us to put any man to death: ;
7. But the chief captain Lysias came upon us, and with great violence took him away out of our hands,
Fapt 21.33
Then the chief captain came near, and took him, and commanded him to be bound with two chains; and demanded who he was, and what he had done. ;
8. Commanding his accusers to come unto thee: by examining of whom thyself mayest take knowledge of all these things, whereof we accuse him.
Fapt 28.30
And Paul dwelt two whole years in his own hired house, and received all that came in unto him, ;
9. And the Jews also assented, saying that these things were so.
10. Then Paul, after that the governor had beckoned unto him to speak, answered, Forasmuch as I know that thou hast been of many years a judge unto this nation, I do the more cheerfully answer for myself:
