21. Hath not the potter power over the clay, of the same lump to make one vessel unto honour, and another unto dishonour?
Prov 16.4
The LORD hath made all things for himself: yea, even the wicked for the day of evil. ;Ier 18.6
O house of Israel, cannot I do with you as this potter? saith the LORD. Behold, as the clay is in the potter's hand, so are ye in mine hand, O house of Israel. ;2Tim 2.20
But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and of silver, but also of wood and of earth; and some to honour, and some to dishonour. ;SMS

22. What if God, willing to shew his wrath, and to make his power known, endured with much longsuffering the vessels of wrath fitted to destruction:
1Tes 5.9
For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ, ;1Pet 2.8
And a stone of stumbling, and a rock of offence, even to them which stumble at the word, being disobedient: whereunto also they were appointed. ;SMS

23. And that he might make known the riches of his glory on the vessels of mercy, which he had afore prepared unto glory,
Rom 2.4
Or despisest thou the riches of his goodness and forbearance and longsuffering; not knowing that the goodness of God leadeth thee to repentance? ;Efes 1.7
In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace; ;Col 1.27
To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory: ;Rom 8.28-30
And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. ;SMS

24. Even us, whom he hath called, not of the Jews only, but also of the Gentiles?
Rom 3.29
Is he the God of the Jews only? is he not also of the Gentiles? Yes, of the Gentiles also: ;SMS

25. As he saith also in Osee, I will call them my people, which were not my people; and her beloved, which was not beloved.
Osea 2.23
And I will sow her unto me in the earth; and I will have mercy upon her that had not obtained mercy; and I will say to them which were not my people, Thou art my people; and they shall say, Thou art my God. ;1Pet 2.10
Which in time past were not a people, but are now the people of God: which had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy. ;SMS

26. And it shall come to pass, that in the place where it was said unto them, Ye are not my people; there shall they be called the children of the living God.
Osea 1.10
Yet the number of the children of Israel shall be as the sand of the sea, which cannot be measured nor numbered; and it shall come to pass, that in the place where it was said unto them, Ye are not my people, there it shall be said unto them, Ye are the sons of the living God. ;SMS

27. Esaias also crieth concerning Israel, Though the number of the children of Israel be as the sand of the sea, a remnant shall be saved:
Isa 10.22-23
For though thy people Israel be as the sand of the sea, yet a remnant of them shall return: the consumption decreed shall overflow with righteousness. ;Rom 11.5
Even so then at this present time also there is a remnant according to the election of grace. ;SMS

28. For he will finish the work, and cut it short in righteousness: because a short work will the Lord make upon the earth.
Isa 28.22
Now therefore be ye not mockers, lest your bands be made strong: for I have heard from the Lord GOD of hosts a consumption, even determined upon the whole earth. ;SMS

29. And as Esaias said before, Except the Lord of Sabaoth had left us a seed, we had been as Sodoma, and been made like unto Gomorrha.
Isa 1.9
Except the LORD of hosts had left unto us a very small remnant, we should have been as Sodom, and we should have been like unto Gomorrah. ;Pl
It is of the LORD's mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. ;Isa 13.19
And Babylon, the glory of kingdoms, the beauty of the Chaldees' excellency, shall be as when God overthrew Sodom and Gomorrah. ;Ier 50.40
As God overthrew Sodom and Gomorrah and the neighbour cities thereof, saith the LORD; so shall no man abide there, neither shall any son of man dwell therein. ;SMS

30. What shall we say then? That the Gentiles, which followed not after righteousness, have attained to righteousness, even the righteousness which is of faith.
Rom 4.11
And he received the sign of circumcision, a seal of the righteousness of the faith which he had yet being uncircumcised: that he might be the father of all them that believe, though they be not circumcised; that righteousness might be imputed unto them also: ;Rom 10.20
But Esaias is very bold, and saith, I was found of them that sought me not; I was made manifest unto them that asked not after me. ;Rom 1.17
For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith. ;SMS
