1. We then, as workers together with him, beseech you also that ye receive not the grace of God in vain.
1Cor 3.9
For we are labourers together with God: ye are God's husbandry, ye are God's building. ;2Cor 5.20
Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God. ;Evr 12.15
Looking diligently lest any man fail of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you, and thereby many be defiled; ;
2. (For he saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succoured thee: behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.)
Isa 49.8
Thus saith the LORD, In an acceptable time have I heard thee, and in a day of salvation have I helped thee: and I will preserve thee, and give thee for a covenant of the people, to establish the earth, to cause to inherit the desolate heritages; ;
3. Giving no offence in any thing, that the ministry be not blamed:
Rom 14.13
Let us not therefore judge one another any more: but judge this rather, that no man put a stumblingblock or an occasion to fall in his brother's way. ;1Cor 9.12
If others be partakers of this power over you, are not we rather? Nevertheless we have not used this power; but suffer all things, lest we should hinder the gospel of Christ. ;1Cor 10.32
Give none offence, neither to the Jews, nor to the Gentiles, nor to the church of God: ;
4. But in all things approving ourselves as the ministers of God, in much patience, in afflictions, in necessities, in distresses,
1Cor 4.1
Let a man so account of us, as of the ministers of Christ, and stewards of the mysteries of God. ;
5. In stripes, in imprisonments, in tumults, in labours, in watchings, in fastings;
2Cor 11.23
Are they ministers of Christ? (I speak as a fool) I am more; in labours more abundant, in stripes above measure, in prisons more frequent, in deaths oft. ;
6. By pureness, by knowledge, by longsuffering, by kindness, by the Holy Ghost, by love unfeigned,
7. By the word of truth, by the power of God, by the armour of righteousness on the right hand and on the left,
2Cor 4.2
But have renounced the hidden things of dishonesty, not walking in craftiness, nor handling the word of God deceitfully; but by manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man's conscience in the sight of God. ;2Cor 7.14
For if I have boasted any thing to him of you, I am not ashamed; but as we spake all things to you in truth, even so our boasting, which I made before Titus, is found a truth. ;1Cor 2.4
And my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man's wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power: ;2Cor 10.4
(For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;) ;Efes 6.11-13
Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. ;2Tim 4.7
I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: ;
8. By honour and dishonour, by evil report and good report: as deceivers, and yet true;
2Cor 4.2
But have renounced the hidden things of dishonesty, not walking in craftiness, nor handling the word of God deceitfully; but by manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man's conscience in the sight of God. ;2Cor 5.11
Knowing therefore the terror of the Lord, we persuade men; but we are made manifest unto God; and I trust also are made manifest in your consciences. ;2Cor 11.6
But though I be rude in speech, yet not in knowledge; but we have been throughly made manifest among you in all things. ;
9. As unknown, and yet well known; as dying, and, behold, we live; as chastened, and not killed;
1Cor 4.9
For I think that God hath set forth us the apostles last, as it were appointed to death: for we are made a spectacle unto the world, and to angels, and to men. ;2Cor 1.9
But we had the sentence of death in ourselves, that we should not trust in ourselves, but in God which raiseth the dead: ;2Cor 4.10-11
Always bearing about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our body. ;Ps 118.18
The LORD hath chastened me sore: but he hath not given me over unto death. ;
10. As sorrowful, yet alway rejoicing; as poor, yet making many rich; as having nothing, and yet possessing all things.
