11. In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will:

And now, brethren, I commend you to God, and to the word of his grace, which is able to build you up, and to give you an inheritance among all them which are sanctified. ;Fapt 26.18
To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me. ;Rom 8.17

Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will, ;Isa 46.10-11
Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure: ;

12. That we should be to the praise of his glory, who first trusted in Christ.

To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved. ;2Tes 2.13
But we are bound to give thanks alway to God for you, brethren beloved of the Lord, because God hath from the beginning chosen you to salvation through sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth: ;Iac 1.18
Of his own will begat he us with the word of truth, that we should be a kind of firstfruits of his creatures. ;

13. In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,

For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ. ;2Cor 6.7
By the word of truth, by the power of God, by the armour of righteousness on the right hand and on the left, ;2Cor 1.22

14. Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory.

Now he that hath wrought us for the selfsame thing is God, who also hath given unto us the earnest of the Spirit. ;Luc 21.28
And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh. ;Rom 8.32
He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things? ;Efes 4.30
And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption. ;Fapt 20.28
Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which he hath purchased with his own blood. ;Efes 1.6-12

But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light; ;

15. Wherefore I also, after I heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus, and love unto all the saints,

Since we heard of your faith in Christ Jesus, and of the love which ye have to all the saints, ;

16. Cease not to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers;

We are bound to thank God always for you, brethren, as it is meet, because that your faith groweth exceedingly, and the charity of every one of you all toward each other aboundeth; ;

17. That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him:

Jesus saith unto her, Touch me not; for I am not yet ascended to my Father: but go to my brethren, and say unto them, I ascend unto my Father, and your Father; and to my God, and your God. ;Col 1.9
For this cause we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to desire that ye might be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding; ;

18. The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints,

19. And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power,
