1. When thou goest out to battle against thine enemies, and seest horses, and chariots, and a people more than thou, be not afraid of them: for the LORD thy God is with thee, which brought thee up out of the land of Egypt.
Ps 20.7
Some trust in chariots, and some in horses: but we will remember the name of the LORD our God. ;Isa 31.1
Woe to them that go down to Egypt for help; and stay on horses, and trust in chariots, because they are many; and in horsemen, because they are very strong; but they look not unto the Holy One of Israel, neither seek the LORD! ;Num 23.21

3. And shall say unto them, Hear, O Israel, ye approach this day unto battle against your enemies: let not your hearts faint, fear not, and do not tremble, neither be ye terrified because of them;
4. For the LORD your God is he that goeth with you, to fight for you against your enemies, to save you.
Deut 1.30
The LORD your God which goeth before you, he shall fight for you, according to all that he did for you in Egypt before your eyes; ;Deut 3.22
Ye shall not fear them: for the LORD your God he shall fight for you. ;Ios 23.10
One man of you shall chase a thousand: for the LORD your God, he it is that fighteth for you, as he hath promised you. ;
5. And the officers shall speak unto the people, saying, What man is there that hath built a new house, and hath not dedicated it? let him go and return to his house, lest he die in the battle, and another man dedicate it.

Deut 24.5
When a man hath taken a new wife, he shall not go out to war, neither shall he be charged with any business: but he shall be free at home one year, and shall cheer up his wife which he hath taken. ;
8. And the officers shall speak further unto the people, and they shall say, What man is there that is fearful and fainthearted? let him go and return unto his house, lest his brethren's heart faint as well as his heart.
Jud 7.3
Now therefore go to, proclaim in the ears of the people, saying, Whosoever is fearful and afraid, let him return and depart early from mount Gilead. And there returned of the people twenty and two thousand; and there remained ten thousand. ;
9. And it shall be, when the officers have made an end of speaking unto the people that they shall make captains of the armies to lead the people.
10. When thou comest nigh unto a city to fight against it, then proclaim peace unto it.
