11. And it came to pass at the end of forty days and forty nights, that the LORD gave me the two tables of stone, even the tables of the covenant.
SMS 12. And the LORD said unto me, Arise, get thee down quickly from hence; for thy people which thou hast brought forth out of Egypt have corrupted themselves; they are quickly turned aside out of the way which I commanded them; they have made them a molten image.
Ex 32.7And the LORD said unto Moses, Go, get thee down; for thy people, which thou broughtest out of the land of Egypt, have corrupted themselves: ;
Deut 31.29For I know that after my death ye will utterly corrupt yourselves, and turn aside from the way which I have commanded you; and evil will befall you in the latter days; because ye will do evil in the sight of the LORD, to provoke him to anger through the work of your hands. ;
Jud 2.17And yet they would not hearken unto their judges, but they went a whoring after other gods, and bowed themselves unto them: they turned quickly out of the way which their fathers walked in, obeying the commandments of the LORD; but they did not so. ;
SMS 13. Furthermore the LORD spake unto me, saying, I have seen this people, and, behold, it is a stiffnecked people:
Ex 32.9And the LORD said unto Moses, I have seen this people, and, behold, it is a stiffnecked people: ;
Deut 9.6Understand therefore, that the LORD thy God giveth thee not this good land to possess it for thy righteousness; for thou art a stiffnecked people. ;
Deut 10.16Circumcise therefore the foreskin of your heart, and be no more stiffnecked. ;
Deut 31.27For I know thy rebellion, and thy stiff neck: behold, while I am yet alive with you this day, ye have been rebellious against the LORD; and how much more after my death? ;
2Imp 17.14Notwithstanding they would not hear, but hardened their necks, like to the neck of their fathers, that did not believe in the LORD their God. ;
SMS 14. Let me alone, that I may destroy them, and blot out their name from under heaven: and I will make of thee a nation mightier and greater than they.
Ex 32.10Now therefore let me alone, that my wrath may wax hot against them, and that I may consume them: and I will make of thee a great nation. ;
Deut 29.20The LORD will not spare him, but then the anger of the LORD and his jealousy shall smoke against that man, and all the curses that are written in this book shall lie upon him, and the LORD shall blot out his name from under heaven. ;
Ps 9.5Thou hast rebuked the heathen, thou hast destroyed the wicked, thou hast put out their name for ever and ever. ;
Ps 109.13Let his posterity be cut off; and in the generation following let their name be blotted out. ;
Num 14.12I will smite them with the pestilence, and disinherit them, and will make of thee a greater nation and mightier than they. ;
SMS 15. So I turned and came down from the mount, and the mount burned with fire: and the two tables of the covenant were in my two hands.
Ex 32.15And Moses turned, and went down from the mount, and the two tables of the testimony were in his hand: the tables were written on both their sides; on the one side and on the other were they written. ;
Ex 19.18And mount Sinai was altogether on a smoke, because the LORD descended upon it in fire: and the smoke thereof ascended as the smoke of a furnace, and the whole mount quaked greatly. ;
Deut 4.11And ye came near and stood under the mountain; and the mountain burned with fire unto the midst of heaven, with darkness, clouds, and thick darkness. ;
Deut 5.23And it came to pass, when ye heard the voice out of the midst of the darkness, (for the mountain did burn with fire,) that ye came near unto me, even all the heads of your tribes, and your elders; ;
SMS 16. And I looked, and, behold, ye had sinned against the LORD your God, and had made you a molten calf: ye had turned aside quickly out of the way which the LORD had commanded you.
Ex 32.19And it came to pass, as soon as he came nigh unto the camp, that he saw the calf, and the dancing: and Moses' anger waxed hot, and he cast the tables out of his hands, and brake them beneath the mount. ;
SMS 17. And I took the two tables, and cast them out of my two hands, and brake them before your eyes.
SMS 18. And I fell down before the LORD, as at the first, forty days and forty nights: I did neither eat bread, nor drink water, because of all your sins which ye sinned, in doing wickedly in the sight of the LORD, to provoke him to anger.
Ex 34.28And he was there with the LORD forty days and forty nights; he did neither eat bread, nor drink water. And he wrote upon the tables the words of the covenant, the ten commandments. ;
Ps 106.23Therefore he said that he would destroy them, had not Moses his chosen stood before him in the breach, to turn away his wrath, lest he should destroy them. ;
SMS 19. For I was afraid of the anger and hot displeasure, wherewith the LORD was wroth against you to destroy you. But the LORD hearkened unto me at that time also.
Ex 32.10-11Now therefore let me alone, that my wrath may wax hot against them, and that I may consume them: and I will make of thee a great nation. ;
Ex 32.14And the LORD repented of the evil which he thought to do unto his people. ;
Ex 33.17And the LORD said unto Moses, I will do this thing also that thou hast spoken: for thou hast found grace in my sight, and I know thee by name. ;
Deut 10.10And I stayed in the mount, according to the first time, forty days and forty nights; and the LORD hearkened unto me at that time also, and the LORD would not destroy thee. ;
Ps 106.23Therefore he said that he would destroy them, had not Moses his chosen stood before him in the breach, to turn away his wrath, lest he should destroy them. ;
SMS 20. And the LORD was very angry with Aaron to have destroyed him: and I prayed for Aaron also the same time.
