11. And we desire that every one of you do shew the same diligence to the full assurance of hope unto the end:
Evr 3.6-14
But Christ as a son over his own house; whose house are we, if we hold fast the confidence and the rejoicing of the hope firm unto the end. ;Col 2.2
That their hearts might be comforted, being knit together in love, and unto all riches of the full assurance of understanding, to the acknowledgement of the mystery of God, and of the Father, and of Christ; ;

12. That ye be not slothful, but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises.
Evr 10.36
For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise. ;

13. For when God made promise to Abraham, because he could swear by no greater, he sware by himself,
Gen 22.16-17
And said, By myself have I sworn, saith the LORD, for because thou hast done this thing, and hast not withheld thy son, thine only son: ;Ps 105.9
Which covenant he made with Abraham, and his oath unto Isaac; ;Luc 1.73
The oath which he sware to our father Abraham, ;

14. Saying, Surely blessing I will bless thee, and multiplying I will multiply thee.

15. And so, after he had patiently endured, he obtained the promise.

16. For men verily swear by the greater: and an oath for confirmation is to them an end of all strife.
Ex 22.11
Then shall an oath of the LORD be between them both, that he hath not put his hand unto his neighbor's goods; and the owner of it shall accept thereof, and he shall not make it good. ;

17. Wherein God, willing more abundantly to shew unto the heirs of promise the immutability of his counsel, confirmed it by an oath:
Evr 11.9
By faith he sojourned in the land of promise, as in a strange country, dwelling in tabernacles with Isaac and Jacob, the heirs with him of the same promise: ;Rom 11.29
For the gifts and calling of God are without repentance. ;

18. That by two immutable things, in which it was impossible for God to lie, we might have a strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold upon the hope set before us:
Evr 12.1
Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, ;

19. Which hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and stedfast, and which entereth into that within the veil;
Lev 16.15
Then shall he kill the goat of the sin offering, that is for the people, and bring his blood within the vail, and do with that blood as he did with the blood of the bullock, and sprinkle it upon the mercy seat, and before the mercy seat: ;Evr 9.7
But into the second went the high priest alone once every year, not without blood, which he offered for himself, and for the errors of the people: ;

20. Whither the forerunner is for us entered, even Jesus, made an high priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec.
Evr 4.14
Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession. ;Evr 8.1
Now of the things which we have spoken this is the sum: We have such an high priest, who is set on the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in the heavens; ;Evr 9.24
For Christ is not entered into the holy places made with hands, which are the figures of the true; but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us: ;Evr 3.1
Wherefore, holy brethren, partakers of the heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our profession, Christ Jesus; ;Evr 5.6-10
As he saith also in another place, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec. ;Evr 7.17
For he testifieth, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec. ;
