11. Let him eschew evil, and do good; let him seek peace, and ensue it.

Depart from evil, and do good; and dwell for evermore. ;Isa 1.16-17
Wash you, make you clean; put away the evil of your doings from before mine eyes; cease to do evil; ;Rom 12.18
If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men. ;Rom 14.19
Let us therefore follow after the things which make for peace, and things wherewith one may edify another. ;Evr 12.14
Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord: ;

12. For the eyes of the Lord are over the righteous, and his ears are open unto their prayers: but the face of the Lord is against them that do evil.
Ioan 9.31
Now we know that God heareth not sinners: but if any man be a worshipper of God, and doeth his will, him he heareth. ;Iac 5.16
Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much. ;

13. And who is he that will harm you, if ye be followers of that which is good?

When a man's ways please the LORD, he maketh even his enemies to be at peace with him. ;Rom 8.28
And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. ;

14. But and if ye suffer for righteousness' sake, happy are ye: and be not afraid of their terror, neither be troubled;

Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness' sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. ;Iac 1.12
Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him. ;1Pet 2.19

15. But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear:

Then Peter, filled with the Holy Ghost, said unto them, Ye rulers of the people, and elders of Israel, ;Col 4.6

In meekness instructing those that oppose themselves; if God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth; ;

16. Having a good conscience; that, whereas they speak evil of you, as of evildoers, they may be ashamed that falsely accuse your good conversation in Christ.
Evr 13.18
Pray for us: for we trust we have a good conscience, in all things willing to live honestly. ;Tit 2.8
Sound speech, that cannot be condemned; that he that is of the contrary part may be ashamed, having no evil thing to say of you. ;1Pet 2.12
Having your conversation honest among the Gentiles: that, whereas they speak against you as evildoers, they may by your good works, which they shall behold, glorify God in the day of visitation. ;

17. For it is better, if the will of God be so, that ye suffer for well doing, than for evil doing.

18. For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit:

For then must he often have suffered since the foundation of the world: but now once in the end of the world hath he appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of himself. ;1Pet 2.21

Forasmuch then as Christ hath suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves likewise with the same mind: for he that hath suffered in the flesh hath ceased from sin; ;2Cor 13.4
For though he was crucified through weakness, yet he liveth by the power of God. For we also are weak in him, but we shall live with him by the power of God toward you. ;Col 1.21-22
And you, that were sometime alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now hath he reconciled ;Rom 1.4
And declared to be the Son of God with power, according to the spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead: ;Rom 8.11
But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you. ;

19. By which also he went and preached unto the spirits in prison;
1Pet 1.12
Unto whom it was revealed, that not unto themselves, but unto us they did minister the things, which are now reported unto you by them that have preached the gospel unto you with the Holy Ghost sent down from heaven; which things the angels desire to look into. ;1Pet 4.6
For for this cause was the gospel preached also to them that are dead, that they might be judged according to men in the flesh, but live according to God in the spirit. ;Isa 42.7
To open the blind eyes, to bring out the prisoners from the prison, and them that sit in darkness out of the prison house. ;Isa 49.9
That thou mayest say to the prisoners, Go forth; to them that are in darkness, Shew yourselves. They shall feed in the ways, and their pastures shall be in all high places. ;Isa 61.1
The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me; because the LORD hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound; ;

20. Which sometime were disobedient, when once the longsuffering of God waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was a preparing, wherein few, that is, eight souls were saved by water.
Gen 6.3-13
And the LORD said, My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh: yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years. ;Evr 11.7
By faith Noah, being warned of God of things not seen as yet, moved with fear, prepared an ark to the saving of his house; by the which he condemned the world, and became heir of the righteousness which is by faith. ;Gen 7.7
