1. The elders which are among you I exhort, who am also an elder, and a witness of the sufferings of Christ, and also a partaker of the glory that shall be revealed:
Luc 24.48

But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth. ;Fapt 5.32
And we are his witnesses of these things; and so is also the Holy Ghost, whom God hath given to them that obey him. ;Fapt 10.39
And we are witnesses of all things which he did both in the land of the Jews, and in Jerusalem; whom they slew and hanged on a tree: ;Rom 8.17-18
And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together. ;Apoc 1.9
I John, who also am your brother, and companion in tribulation, and in the kingdom and patience of Jesus Christ, was in the isle that is called Patmos, for the word of God, and for the testimony of Jesus Christ. ;SMS

2. Feed the flock of God which is among you, taking the oversight thereof, not by constraint, but willingly; not for filthy lucre, but of a ready mind;
Ioan 21.15-17
So when they had dined, Jesus saith to Simon Peter, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me more than these? He saith unto him, Yea, Lord; thou knowest that I love thee. He saith unto him, Feed my lambs. ;Fapt 20.28
Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which he hath purchased with his own blood. ;1Cor 9.17

Not given to wine, no striker, not greedy of filthy lucre; but patient, not a brawler, not covetous; ;Tit 1.7

3. Neither as being lords over God's heritage, but being ensamples to the flock.
Ezec 34.4
The diseased have ye not strengthened, neither have ye healed that which was sick, neither have ye bound up that which was broken, neither have ye brought again that which was driven away, neither have ye sought that which was lost; but with force and with cruelty have ye ruled them. ;Mat 20.25-26
But Jesus called them unto him, and said, Ye know that the princes of the Gentiles exercise dominion over them, and they that are great exercise authority upon them. ;1Cor 3.9
For we are labourers together with God: ye are God's husbandry, ye are God's building. ;2Cor 1.24
Not for that we have dominion over your faith, but are helpers of your joy: for by faith ye stand. ;Ps 33.12
Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD; and the people whom he hath chosen for his own inheritance. ;Ps 74.2

Brethren, be followers together of me, and mark them which walk so as ye have us for an ensample. ;2Tes 3.9
Not because we have not power, but to make ourselves an ensample unto you to follow us. ;1Tim 4.12
Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity. ;Tit 2.7
In all things shewing thyself a pattern of good works: in doctrine shewing uncorruptness, gravity, sincerity, ;SMS

4. And when the chief Shepherd shall appear, ye shall receive a crown of glory that fadeth not away.
Evr 13.20
Now the God of peace, that brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant, ;1Cor 9.25
And every man that striveth for the mastery is temperate in all things. Now they do it to obtain a corruptible crown; but we an incorruptible. ;2Tim 4.8
Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing. ;Iac 1.12
Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him. ;1Pet 1.4
To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you, ;SMS

5. Likewise, ye younger, submit yourselves unto the elder. Yea, all of you be subject one to another, and be clothed with humility: for God resisteth the proud, and giveth grace to the humble.

Be kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love; in honour preferring one another; ;Efes 5.21
Submitting yourselves one to another in the fear of God. ;Filip 2.3
Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves. ;Iac 4.6
But he giveth more grace. Wherefore he saith, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble. ;Isa 57.15
For thus saith the high and lofty One that inhabiteth eternity, whose name is Holy; I dwell in the high and holy place, with him also that is of a contrite and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of the contrite ones. ;Isa 66.2
For all those things hath mine hand made, and all those things have been, saith the LORD: but to this man will I look, even to him that is poor and of a contrite spirit, and trembleth at my word. ;SMS

6. Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time:
Iac 4.10
Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up. ;SMS

7. Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.

Commit thy way unto the LORD; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass. ;Ps 55.22
Cast thy burden upon the LORD, and he shall sustain thee: he shall never suffer the righteous to be moved. ;Mat 6.25
Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment? ;Luc 12.11-22
And when they bring you unto the synagogues, and unto magistrates, and powers, take ye no thought how or what thing ye shall answer, or what ye shall say: ;Filip 4.6
Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. ;Evr 13.5
Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee. ;SMS

8. Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:
Luc 21.34-36
And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares. ;1Tes 5.6
Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober. ;1Pet 4.7
But the end of all things is at hand: be ye therefore sober, and watch unto prayer. ;Iov 1.7

Therefore rejoice, ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time. ;SMS

9. Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world.
Efes 6.11-13
Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. ;Iac 4.7
Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. ;Fapt 14.22
Confirming the souls of the disciples, and exhorting them to continue in the faith, and that we must through much tribulation enter into the kingdom of God. ;1Tes 3.3
That no man should be moved by these afflictions: for yourselves know that we are appointed thereunto. ;2Tim 3.12
Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution. ;1Pet 2.21
For even hereunto were ye called: because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow his steps: ;SMS

10. But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you.
1Cor 1.9
God is faithful, by whom ye were called unto the fellowship of his Son Jesus Christ our Lord. ;1Tim 6.12
Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses. ;2Cor 4.17
For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory; ;1Pet 1.6
Wherein ye greatly rejoice, though now for a season, if need be, ye are in heaviness through manifold temptations: ;Evr 13.21
Make you perfect in every good work to do his will, working in you that which is wellpleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ; to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen. ;2Tes 2.17
Comfort your hearts, and stablish you in every good word and work. ;2Tes 3.3
But the Lord is faithful, who shall stablish you, and keep you from evil. ;SMS
