1. Forasmuch then as Christ hath suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves likewise with the same mind: for he that hath suffered in the flesh hath ceased from sin;
1Petr 3.18
For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit: ;Rom 6.2-7
God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein? ;Gal 5.24
And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts. ;Col 3.3-5
For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God. ;SMS

2. That he no longer should live the rest of his time in the flesh to the lusts of men, but to the will of God.
Rom 14.7
For none of us liveth to himself, and no man dieth to himself. ;1Pet 2.1
Wherefore laying aside all malice, and all guile, and hypocrisies, and envies, all evil speakings, ;Gal 2.20
I am crucified with Christ: neverthless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me. ;1Pet 1.14
As obedient children, not fashioning yourselves according to the former lusts in your ignorance: ;Ioan 1.13
Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. ;Rom 6.11
Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord. ;2Cor 5.15
And that he died for all, that they which live should not henceforth live unto themselves, but unto him which died for them, and rose again. ;Iac 1.18
Of his own will begat he us with the word of truth, that we should be a kind of firstfruits of his creatures. ;SMS

3. For the time past of our life may suffice us to have wrought the will of the Gentiles, when we walked in lasciviousness, lusts, excess of wine, revellings, banquetings, and abominable idolatries:
Ezec 44.6
And thou shalt say to the rebellious, even to the house of Israel, Thus saith the Lord GOD; O ye house of Israel, let it suffice you of all your abominations, ;Ezec 45.9
Thus saith the Lord GOD; Let it suffice you, O princes of Israel: remove violence and spoil, and execute judgment and justice, take away your exactions from my people, saith the Lord GOD. ;Fapt 17.30
And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent: ;Efes 2.2
Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience: ;Efes 4.17
This I say therefore, and testify in the Lord, that ye henceforth walk not as other Gentiles walk, in the vanity of their mind, ;1Tes 4.5
Not in the lust of concupiscence, even as the Gentiles which know not God: ;Tit 3.3
For we ourselves also were sometimes foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving divers lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful, and hating one another. ;1Pet 1.14

4. Wherein they think it strange that ye run not with them to the same excess of riot, speaking evil of you:

And when they opposed themselves, and blasphemed, he shook his raiment, and said unto them, Your blood be upon your own heads; I am clean; from henceforth I will go unto the Gentiles. ;1Pet 3.16
Having a good conscience; that, whereas they speak evil of you, as of evildoers, they may be ashamed that falsely accuse your good conversation in Christ. ;SMS

5. Who shall give account to him that is ready to judge the quick and the dead.
Fapt 10.42
And he commanded us to preach unto the people, and to testify that it is he which was ordained of God to be the Judge of quick and dead. ;Fapt 17.31
Because he hath appointed a day, in the which he will judge the world in righteousness by that man whom he hath ordained; whereof he hath given assurance unto all men, in that he hath raised him from the dead. ;Rom 14.10-12
But why dost thou judge thy brother? or why dost thou set at nought thy brother? for we shall all stand before the judgment seat of Christ. ;1Cor 15.51-52
Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, ;2Tim 4.1
I charge thee therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom; ;Iac 5.9
Grudge not one against another, brethren, lest ye be condemned: behold, the judge standeth before the door. ;SMS

6. For for this cause was the gospel preached also to them that are dead, that they might be judged according to men in the flesh, but live according to God in the spirit.
1Pet 3.19
By which also he went and preached unto the spirits in prison; ;SMS

7. But the end of all things is at hand: be ye therefore sober, and watch unto prayer.
Mat 24.13-14
But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved. ;Rom 13.12
The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armour of light. ;Filip 4.5
Let your moderation be known unto all men. The Lord is at hand. ;Evr 10.25
Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching. ;Iac 5.8
Be ye also patient; stablish your hearts: for the coming of the Lord draweth nigh. ;2Pet 3.9-11
The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. ;1Ioan 2.18
Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time. ;Mat 26.41
Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak. ;Luc 21.34
And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares. ;Col 4.2
Continue in prayer, and watch in the same with thanksgiving; ;1Pet 1.13
Wherefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus Christ; ;1Pet 5.8
Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour: ;SMS

8. And above all things have fervent charity among yourselves: for charity shall cover the multitude of sins.
Col 3.14
And above all these things put on charity, which is the bond of perfectness. ;Evr 13.1
Let brotherly love continue. ;Prov 10.12
Hatred stirreth up strifes: but love covereth all sins. ;1Cor 13.6
Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth; ;Iac 5.20
Let him know, that he which converteth the sinner from the error of his way shall save a soul from death, and shall hide a multitude of sins. ;SMS

9. Use hospitality one to another without grudging.
Rom 12.13
Distributing to the necessity of saints; given to hospitality. ;Evr 13.2
Be not forgetful to entertain strangers: for thereby some have entertained angels unawares. ;2Cor 9.7
Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver. ;Filip 2.14
Do all things without murmurings and disputings: ;SMS

10. As every man hath received the gift, even so minister the same one to another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God.
Rom 12.6
Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, whether prophecy, let us prophesy according to the proportion of faith; ;1Cor 4.7
For who maketh thee to differ from another? and what hast thou that thou didst not receive? now if thou didst receive it, why dost thou glory, as if thou hadst not received it? ;Mat 24.45
Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his lord hath made ruler over his household, to give them meat in due season? ;Mat 25.14-21
For the kingdom of heaven is as a man travelling into a far country, who called his own servants, and delivered unto them his goods. ;Luc 12.42
And the Lord said, Who then is that faithful and wise steward, whom his lord shall make ruler over his household, to give them their portion of meat in due season? ;1Cor 4.1-2
Let a man so account of us, as of the ministers of Christ, and stewards of the mysteries of God. ;Tit 1.7
For a bishop must be blameless, as the steward of God; not selfwilled, not soon angry, not given to wine, no striker, not given to filthy lucre; ;1Cor 12.4
Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit. ;Efes 4.11
And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; ;SMS
