1. And Abram went up out of Egypt, he, and his wife, and all that he had, and Lot with him, into the south.

And Abram journeyed, going on still toward the south. ;SMS

2. And Abram was very rich in cattle, in silver, and in gold.
Gen 24.35
And the LORD hath blessed my master greatly; and he is become great: and he hath given him flocks, and herds, and silver, and gold, and menservants, and maidservants, and camels, and asses. ;Ps 112.3
Wealth and riches shall be in his house: and his righteousness endureth for ever. ;Prov 10.22

3. And he went on his journeys from the south even to Bethel, unto the place where his tent had been at the beginning, between Bethel and Hai;
Gen 12.8-9
And he removed from thence unto a mountain on the east of Bethel, and pitched his tent, having Bethel on the west, and Hai on the east: and there he builded an altar unto the LORD, and called upon the name of the LORD. ;SMS

4. Unto the place of the altar, which he had make there at the first: and there Abram called on the name of the LORD.
Gen 12.7-8
And the LORD appeared unto Abram, and said, Unto thy seed will I give this land: and there builded he an altar unto the LORD, who appeared unto him. ;Ps 116.17
I will offer to thee the sacrifice of thanksgiving, and will call upon the name of the LORD. ;SMS

5. And Lot also, which went with Abram, had flocks, and herds, and tents.

6. And the land was not able to bear them, that they might dwell together: for their substance was great, so that they could not dwell together.
Gen 36.7
For their riches were more than that they might dwell together; and the land wherein they were strangers could not bear them because of their cattle. ;SMS

7. And there was a strife between the herdmen of Abram's cattle and the herdmen of Lot's cattle: and the Canaanite and the Perizzite dwelled then in the land.
Gen 26.20
And the herdmen of Gerar did strive with Isaac's herdmen, saying, The water is ours: and he called the name of the well Esek; because they strove with him. ;Gen 12.6
And Abram passed through the land unto the place of Sichem, unto the plain of Moreh. And the Canaanite was then in the land. ;SMS

8. And Abram said unto Lot, Let there be no strife, I pray thee, between me and thee, and between my herdmen and thy herdmen; for we be brethren.
1Cor 6.7
Now therefore there is utterly a fault among you, because ye go to law one with another. Why do ye not rather take wrong? why do ye not rather suffer yourselves to be defrauded? ;SMS

9. Is not the whole land before thee? separate thyself, I pray thee, from me: if thou wilt take the left hand, then I will go to the right; or if thou depart to the right hand, then I will go to the left.
Gen 20.15
And Abimelech said, Behold, my land is before thee: dwell where it pleaseth thee. ;Gen 34.10
And ye shall dwell with us: and the land shall be before you; dwell and trade ye therein, and get you possessions therein. ;Rom 12.17
Recompense to no man evil for evil. Provide things honest in the sight of all men. ;Evr 12.14
Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord: ;Iac 3.17
But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy. ;SMS

10. And Lot lifted up his eyes, and beheld all the plain of Jordan, that it was well watered every where, before the LORD destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah, even as the garden of the LORD, like the land of Egypt, as thou comest unto Zoar.

And it came to pass, when they had brought them forth abroad, that he said, Escape for thy life; look not behind thee, neither stay thou in all the plain; escape to the mountain, lest thou be consumed. ;Deut 34.3
And the south, and the plain of the valley of Jericho, the city of palm trees, unto Zoar. ;Ps 107.34
