1. Furthermore Elihu answered and said,

2. Hear my words, O ye wise men; and give ear unto me, ye that have knowledge.

3. For the ear trieth words, as the mouth tasteth meat.
Iov 6.30
Is there iniquity in my tongue? cannot my taste discern perverse things? ;Iov 12.11
Doth not the ear try words? and the mouth taste his meat? ;

4. Let us choose to us judgment: let us know among ourselves what is good.

5. For Job hath said, I am righteous: and God hath taken away my judgment.
Iov 33.9
I am clean without transgression, I am innocent; neither is there iniquity in me. ;Iov 27.2
As God liveth, who hath taken away my judgment; and the Almighty, who hath vexed my soul; ;

6. Should I lie against my right? my wound is incurable without transgression.

7. What man is like Job, who drinketh up scorning like water?

How much more abominable and filthy is man, which drinketh iniquity like water? ;

8. Which goeth in company with the workers of iniquity, and walketh with wicked men.

9. For he hath said, It profiteth a man nothing that he should delight himself with God.

This is one thing, therefore I said it, He destroyeth the perfect and the wicked. ;Iov 35.3
For thou saidst, What advantage will it be unto thee? and, What profit shall I have, if I be cleansed from my sin? ;Mal 3.14
Ye have said, It is vain to serve God: and what profit is it that we have kept his ordinance, and that we have walked mournfully before the LORD of hosts? ;

10. Therefore hearken unto me ye men of understanding: far be it from God, that he should do wickedness; and from the Almighty, that he should commit iniquity.
Gen 18.25
That be far from thee to do after this manner, to slay the righteous with the wicked: and that the righteous should be as the wicked, that be far from thee: Shall not the Judge of all the earth do right? ;Deut 32.4
He is the Rock, his work is perfect: for all his ways are judgment: a God of truth and without iniquity, just and right is he. ;2Cron 19.7
Wherefore now let the fear of the LORD be upon you; take heed and do it: for there is no iniquity with the LORD our God, nor respect of persons, nor taking of gifts. ;Iov 8.3
Doth God pervert judgment? or doth the Almighty pervert justice? ;Iov 36.23
Who hath enjoined him his way? or who can say, Thou hast wrought iniquity? ;Ps 92.15
To shew that the LORD is upright: he is my rock, and there is no unrighteousness in him. ;Rom 9.14
What shall we say then? Is there unrighteousness with God? God forbid. ;
