1. I waited patiently for the LORD; and he inclined unto me, and heard my cry.
Ps 27.14Wait on the LORD: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the LORD. ;
Ps 37.7Rest in the LORD, and wait patiently for him: fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way, because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass. ;
2. He brought me up also out of an horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and established my goings.
Ps 69.2-14I sink in deep mire, where there is no standing: I am come into deep waters, where the floods overflow me. ;
Ps 27.5For in the time of trouble he shall hide me in his pavilion: in the secret of his tabernacle shall he hide me; he shall set me up upon a rock. ;
Ps 37.23The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD: and he delighteth in his way. ;
3. And he hath put a new song in my mouth, even praise unto our God: many shall see it, and fear, and shall trust in the LORD.
Ps 33.3Sing unto him a new song; play skilfully with a loud noise. ;
Ps 52.6The righteous also shall see, and fear, and shall laugh at him: ;
4. Blessed is that man that maketh the LORD his trust, and respecteth not the proud, nor such as turn aside to lies.
Ps 34.8O taste and see that the LORD is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him. ;
Ier 17.7Blessed is the man that trusteth in the LORD, and whose hope the LORD is. ;
Ps 101.3-7I will set no wicked thing before mine eyes: I hate the work of them that turn aside; it shall not cleave to me. ;
Ps 125.5As for such as turn aside unto their crooked ways, the LORD shall lead them forth with the workers of iniquity: but peace shall be upon Israel. ;
5. Many, O LORD my God, are thy wonderful works which thou hast done, and thy thoughts which are to us-ward: they cannot be reckoned up in order unto thee: if I would declare and speak of them, they are more than can be numbered.
Ex 15.11Who is like unto thee, O LORD, among the gods? who is like thee, glorious in holiness, fearful in praises, doing wonders? ;
Iov 5.9Which doeth great things and unsearchable; marvellous things without number: ;
Iov 9.10Which doeth great things past finding out; yea, and wonders without number. ;
Ps 71.15My mouth shall shew forth thy righteousness and thy salvation all the day; for I know not the numbers thereof. ;
Ps 92.5O LORD, how great are thy works! and thy thoughts are very deep. ;
Ps 139.6-17Such knowledge is too wonderful for me; it is high, I cannot attain unto it. ;
Isa 55.8For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD. ;
6. Sacrifice and offering thou didst not desire; mine ears hast thou opened: burnt offering and sin offering hast thou not required.
1Sam 15.22And Samuel said, Hath the LORD as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of the LORD? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to hearken than the fat of rams. ;
Ps 50.8I will not reprove thee for thy sacrifices or thy burnt offerings, to have been continually before me. ;
Ps 51.16For thou desirest not sacrifice; else would I give it: thou delightest not in burnt offering. ;
Isa 1.11To what purpose is the multitude of your sacrifices unto me? saith the LORD: I am full of the burnt offerings of rams, and the fat of fed beasts; and I delight not in the blood of bullocks, or of lambs, or of he goats. ;
Isa 66.3He that killeth an ox is as if he slew a man; he that sacrificeth a lamb, as if he cut off a dog's neck; he that offereth an oblation, as if he offered swine's blood; he that burneth incense, as if he blessed an idol. Yea, they have chosen their own ways, and their soul delighteth in their abominations. ;
Osea 6.6For I desired mercy, and not sacrifice; and the knowledge of God more than burnt offerings. ;
Mat 9.13But go ye and learn what that meaneth, I will have mercy, and not sacrifice: for I am not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance. ;
Mat 12.7But if ye had known what this meaneth, I will have mercy, and not sacrifice, ye would not have condemned the guiltless. ;
Evr 10.5Wherefore when he cometh into the world, he saith, Sacrifice and offering thou wouldest not, but a body hast thou prepared me: ;
7. Then said I, Lo, I come: in the volume of the book it is written of me,
Luc 24.44And he said unto them, These are the words which I spake unto you, while I was yet with you, that all things must be fulfilled, which were written in the law of Moses, and in the prophets, and in the psalms, concerning me. ;
8. I delight to do thy will, O my God: yea, thy law is within my heart.
Ps 119.16-92I will delight myself in thy statutes: I will not forget thy word. ;

Rom 7.22For I delight in the law of God after the inward man: ;

9. I have preached righteousness in the great congregation: lo, I have not refrained my lips, O LORD, thou knowest.
Ps 22.22-25I will declare thy name unto my brethren: in the midst of the congregation will I praise thee. ;
Ps 35.18I will give thee thanks in the great congregation: I will praise thee among much people. ;
Ps 119.13With my lips have I declared all the judgments of thy mouth. ;
Ps 139.2Thou knowest my downsitting and mine uprising, thou understandest my thought afar off. ;
10. I have not hid thy righteousness within my heart; I have declared thy faithfulness and thy salvation: I have not concealed thy lovingkindness and thy truth from the great congregation.
