1. Do ye indeed speak righteousness, O congregation? do ye judge uprightly, O ye sons of men?
2. Yea, in heart ye work wickedness; ye weigh the violence of your hands in the earth.
Ps 94.20Shall the throne of iniquity have fellowship with thee, which frameth mischief by a law? ;
Isa 10.1Woe unto them that decree unrighteous decrees, and that write grievousness which they have prescribed; ;
3. The wicked are estranged from the womb: they go astray as soon as they be born, speaking lies.
Ps 51.5Behold, I was shapen in iniquity; and in sin did my mother conceive me. ;
Isa 48.8Yea, thou heardest not; yea, thou knewest not; yea, from that time that thine ear was not opened: for I knew that thou wouldest deal very treacherously, and wast called a transgressor from the womb. ;
4. Their poison is like the poison of a serpent: they are like the deaf adder that stoppeth her ear;
Ps 140.3They have sharpened their tongues like a serpent; adders' poison is under their lips. Selah. ;
Ecl 10.11Surely the serpent will bite without enchantment; and a babbler is no better. ;
Ier 8.17For, behold, I will send serpents, cockatrices, among you, which will not be charmed, and they shall bite you, saith the LORD. ;
5. Which will not hearken to the voice of charmers, charming never so wisely.
6. Break their teeth, O God, in their mouth: break out the great teeth of the young lions, O LORD.
Iov 4.10The roaring of the lion, and the voice of the fierce lion, and the teeth of the young lions, are broken. ;
Ps 3.7Arise, O LORD; save me, O my God: for thou hast smitten all mine enemies upon the cheek bone; thou hast broken the teeth of the ungodly. ;
7. Let them melt away as waters which run continually: when he bendeth his bow to shoot his arrows, let them be as cut in pieces.
Ios 7.5And the men of Ai smote of them about thirty and six men: for they chased them from before the gate even unto Shebarim, and smote them in the going down: wherefore the hearts of the people melted, and became as water. ;
Ps 112.10The wicked shall see it, and be grieved; he shall gnash with his teeth, and melt away: the desire of the wicked shall perish. ;
8. As a snail which melteth, let every one of them pass away: like the untimely birth of a woman, that they may not see the sun.
Iov 3.16Or as an hidden untimely birth I had not been; as infants which never saw light. ;
Ecl 6.3If a man beget an hundred children, and live many years, so that the days of his years be many, and his soul be not filled with good, and also that he have no burial; I say, that an untimely birth is better than he. ;
9. Before your pots can feel the thorns, he shall take them away as with a whirlwind, both living, and in his wrath.
Prov 10.25As the whirlwind passeth, so is the wicked no more: but the righteous is an everlasting foundation. ;
10. The righteous shall rejoice when he seeth the vengeance: he shall wash his feet in the blood of the wicked.
Ps 52.6The righteous also shall see, and fear, and shall laugh at him: ;
Ps 64.10The righteous shall be glad in the LORD, and shall trust in him; and all the upright in heart shall glory. ;
Ps 107.42The righteous shall see it, and rejoice: and all iniquity shall stop her mouth. ;
Ps 68.23That thy foot may be dipped in the blood of thine enemies, and the tongue of thy dogs in the same. ;
