1. Lord, thou hast been favourable unto thy land: thou hast brought back the captivity of Jacob.
Ezra 1.11All the vessels of gold and of silver were five thousand and four hundred. All these did Sheshbazzar bring up with them of the captivity that were brought up from Babylon unto Jerusalem. ;
Ezra 2.1Now these are the children of the province that went up out of the captivity, of those which had been carried away, whom Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon had carried away unto Babylon, and came again unto Jerusalem and Judah, every one unto his city; ;
Ps 14.7Oh that the salvation of Israel were come out of Zion! when the LORD bringeth back the captivity of his people, Jacob shall rejoice, and Israel shall be glad. ;
Ier 30.18Thus saith the LORD; Behold, I will bring again the captivity of Jacob's tents, and have mercy on his dwellingplaces; and the city shall be builded upon her own heap, and the palace shall remain after the manner thereof. ;
Ier 31.23Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; As yet they shall use this speech in the land of Judah and in the cities thereof, when I shall bring again their captivity; The LORD bless thee, O habitation of justice, and mountain of holiness. ;
Ezec 39.25Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Now will I bring again the captivity of Jacob, and have mercy upon the whole house of Israel, and will be jealous for my holy name; ;
Ioel 3.1For, behold, in those days, and in that time, when I shall bring again the captivity of Judah and Jerusalem, ;
2. Thou hast forgiven the iniquity of thy people, thou hast covered all their sin. Selah.
Ps 32.1Blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered. ;
3. Thou hast taken away all thy wrath: thou hast turned thyself from the fierceness of thine anger.
4. Turn us, O God of our salvation, and cause thine anger toward us to cease.
Ps 80.7Turn us again, O God of hosts, and cause thy face to shine; and we shall be saved. ;
5. Wilt thou be angry with us for ever? wilt thou draw out thine anger to all generations?
Ps 74.1O God, why hast thou cast us off for ever? why doth thine anger smoke against the sheep of thy pasture? ;
Ps 79.5How long, LORD? wilt thou be angry for ever? shall thy jealousy burn like fire? ;
Ps 80.4O LORD God of hosts, how long wilt thou be angry against the prayer of thy people? ;
6. Wilt thou not revive us again: that thy people may rejoice in thee?
Hab 3.2O LORD, I have heard thy speech, and was afraid: O LORD, revive thy work in the midst of the years, in the midst of the years make known; in wrath remember mercy. ;
7. Shew us thy mercy, O LORD, and grant us thy salvation.
8. I will hear what God the LORD will speak: for he will speak peace unto his people, and to his saints: but let them not turn again to folly.
Hab 2.1I will stand upon my watch, and set me upon the tower, and will watch to see what he will say unto me, and what I shall answer when I am reproved. ;
Zah 9.10And I will cut off the chariot from Ephraim, and the horse from Jerusalem, and the battle bow shall be cut off: and he shall speak peace unto the heathen: and his dominion shall be from sea even to sea, and from the river even to the ends of the earth. ;
2Pet 2.20-21For if after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, they are again entangled therein, and overcome, the latter end is worse with them than the beginning. ;
9. Surely his salvation is nigh them that fear him; that glory may dwell in our land.
Isa 46.13I bring near my righteousness; it shall not be far off, and my salvation shall not tarry: and I will place salvation in Zion for Israel my glory. ;
Zah 2.5For I, saith the LORD, will be unto her a wall of fire round about, and will be the glory in the midst of her. ;
Ioan 1.14And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth. ;
10. Mercy and truth are met together; righteousness and peace have kissed each other.
Ps 72.3The mountains shall bring peace to the people, and the little hills, by righteousness. ;
Isa 32.17And the work of righteousness shall be peace; and the effect of righteousness quietness and assurance for ever. ;
Luc 2.14Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men. ;
