1. In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
Prov 8.22
The LORD possessed me in the beginning of his way, before his works of old. ;Col 1.17

That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, of the Word of life; ;Apoc 1.2
Who bare record of the word of God, and of the testimony of Jesus Christ, and of all things that he saw. ;Apoc 19.13
And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God. ;Prov 8.30

In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. ;

2. The same was in the beginning with God.
Ps 33.6
By the word of the LORD were the heavens made; and all the host of them by the breath of his mouth. ;Ioan 1.10
He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not. ;Efes 3.9
And to make all men see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the world hath been hid in God, who created all things by Jesus Christ: ;Col 1.16
For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him: ;Evr 1.2
Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds; ;Apoc 4.11
Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created. ;

3. All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.

4. In him was life; and the life was the light of men.
Ioan 5.26
For as the Father hath life in himself; so hath he given to the Son to have life in himself; ;1Ioan 5.11
And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. ;Ioan 8.12
Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life. ;Ioan 9.5
As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world. ;Ioan 12.35-46
Then Jesus said unto them, Yet a little while is the light with you. Walk while ye have the light, lest darkness come upon you: for he that walketh in darkness knoweth not whither he goeth. ;

5. And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.
Ioan 3.19
And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. ;

6. There was a man sent from God, whose name was John.
Mal 3.1
Behold, I will send my messenger, and he shall prepare the way before me: and the LORD, whom ye seek, shall suddenly come to his temple, even the messenger of the covenant, whom ye delight in: behold, he shall come, saith the LORD of hosts. ;Mat 3.1
In those days came John the Baptist, preaching in the wilderness of Judaea, ;Luc 3.2
Annas and Caiaphas being the high priests, the word of God came unto John the son of Zacharias in the wilderness. ;Ioan 1.33
And I knew him not: but he that sent me to baptize with water, the same said unto me, Upon whom thou shalt see the Spirit descending, and remaining on him, the same is he which baptizeth with the Holy Ghost. ;

7. The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all men through him might believe.
Fapt 19.4
Then said Paul, John verily baptized with the baptism of repentance, saying unto the people, that they should believe on him which should come after him, that is, on Christ Jesus. ;

8. He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light.

9. That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world.
Ioan 1.4
In him was life; and the life was the light of men. ;Isa 49.6
And he said, It is a light thing that thou shouldest be my servant to raise up the tribes of Jacob, and to restore the preserved of Israel: I will also give thee for a light to the Gentiles, that thou mayest be my salvation unto the end of the earth. ;1Ioan 2.8

Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear. ;
