1. And Paul, earnestly beholding the council, said, Men and brethren, I have lived in all good conscience before God until this day.
Fapt 24.16And herein do I exercise myself, to have always a conscience void to offence toward God, and toward men. ;
1Cor 4.4For I know nothing by myself; yet am I not hereby justified: but he that judgeth me is the Lord. ;
2Cor 1.12For our rejoicing is this, the testimony of our conscience, that in simplicity and godly sincerity, not with fleshly wisdom, but by the grace of God, we have had our conversation in the world, and more abundantly to you-ward. ;
2Cor 4.2But have renounced the hidden things of dishonesty, not walking in craftiness, nor handling the word of God deceitfully; but by manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man's conscience in the sight of God. ;
2Tim 1.3I thank God, whom I serve from my forefathers with pure conscience, that without ceasing I have remembrance of thee in my prayers night and day; ;
Evr 13.18Pray for us: for we trust we have a good conscience, in all things willing to live honestly. ;
2. And the high priest Ananias commanded them that stood by him to smite him on the mouth.
1Imp 22.24But Zedekiah the son of Chenaanah went near, and smote Micaiah on the cheek, and said, Which way went the Spirit of the LORD from me to speak unto thee? ;

3. Then said Paul unto him, God shall smite thee, thou whited wall: for sittest thou to judge me after the law, and commandest me to be smitten contrary to the law?
Lev 19.35Ye shall do no unrighteousness in judgment, in meteyard, in weight, or in measure. ;
Deut 25.1-2If there be a controversy between men, and they come unto judgment, that the judges may judge them; then they shall justify the righteous, and condemn the wicked. ;
Ioan 7.51Doth our law judge any man, before it hear him, and know what he doeth? ;
4. And they that stood by said, Revilest thou God's high priest?
5. Then said Paul, I wist not, brethren, that he was the high priest: for it is written, Thou shalt not speak evil of the ruler of thy people.
Fapt 24.17Now after many years I came to bring alms to my nation, and offerings. ;
Ex 22.28Thou shalt not revile the gods, nor curse the ruler of thy people. ;
Ecl 10.20Curse not the king, no not in thy thought; and curse not the rich in thy bedchamber: for a bird of the air shall carry the voice, and that which hath wings shall tell the matter. ;
2Pet 2.10But chiefly them that walk after the flesh in the lust of uncleanness, and despise government. Presumptuous are they, selfwilled, they are not afraid to speak evil of dignities. ;
6. But when Paul perceived that the one part were Sadducees, and the other Pharisees, he cried out in the council, Men and brethren, I am a Pharisee, the son of a Pharisee: of the hope and resurrection of the dead I am called in question.

7. And when he had so said, there arose a dissension between the Pharisees and the Sadducees: and the multitude was divided.
8. For the Sadducees say that there is no resurrection, neither angel, nor spirit: but the Pharisees confess both.

9. And there arose a great cry: and the scribes that were of the Pharisees' part arose, and strove, saying, We find no evil in this man: but if a spirit or an angel hath spoken to him, let us not fight against God.
Fapt 25.25But when I found that he had committed nothing worthy of death, and that he himself hath appealed to Augustus, I have determined to send him. ;
Fapt 26.31And when they were gone aside, they talked between themselves, saying, This man doeth nothing worthy of death or of bonds. ;
Fapt 22.7-18And I fell unto the ground, and heard a voice saying unto me, Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me? ;
Fapt 5.39But if it be of God, ye cannot overthrow it; lest haply ye be found even to fight against God. ;
10. And when there arose a great dissension, the chief captain, fearing lest Paul should have been pulled in pieces of them, commanded the soldiers to go down, and to take him by force from among them, and to bring him into the castle.
