1. Know ye not, brethren, (for I speak to them that know the law,) how that the law hath dominion over a man as long as he liveth?
2. For the woman which hath an husband is bound by the law to her husband so long as he liveth; but if the husband be dead, she is loosed from the law of her husband.
1Cor 7.39
The wife is bound by the law as long as her husband liveth; but if her husband be dead, she is at liberty to be married to whom she will; only in the Lord. ;Mat 5.32
But I say unto you, That whosoever shall put away his wife, saving for the cause of fornication, causeth her to commit adultery: and whosoever shall marry her that is divorced committeth adultery. ;
3. So then if, while her husband liveth, she be married to another man, she shall be called an adulteress: but if her husband be dead, she is free from that law; so that she is no adulteress, though she be married to another man.
4. Wherefore, my brethren, ye also are become dead to the law by the body of Christ; that ye should be married to another, even to him who is raised from the dead, that we should bring forth fruit unto God.

6. But now we are delivered from the law, that being dead wherein we were held; that we should serve in newness of spirit, and not in the oldness of the letter.
Rom 2.29
But he is a Jew, which is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit, and not in the letter; whose praise is not of men, but of God. ;2Cor 3.6
Who also hath made us able ministers of the new testament; not of the letter, but of the spirit: for the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life. ;
7. What shall we say then? Is the law sin? God forbid. Nay, I had not known sin, but by the law: for I had not known lust, except the law had said, Thou shalt not covet.
Rom 3.20
Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin. ;Ex 20.17
Thou shalt not covet thy neighbor's house, thou shalt not covet thy neighbor's wife, nor his manservant, nor his maidservant, nor his ox, nor his ass, nor any thing that is thy neighbor's. ;Deut 5.21

8. But sin, taking occasion by the commandment, wrought in me all manner of concupiscence. For without the law sin was dead.
Rom 4.15
Because the law worketh wrath: for where no law is, there is no transgression. ;Rom 5.20
Moreover the law entered, that the offence might abound. But where sin abounded, grace did much more abound: ;
9. For I was alive without the law once: but when the commandment came, sin revived, and I died.
1Cor 15.56
The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law. ;
10. And the commandment, which was ordained to life, I found to be unto death.
Lev 18.5
Ye shall therefore keep my statutes, and my judgments: which if a man do, he shall live in them: I am the LORD. ;Ezec 20.11-21
