1. Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.
2Cor 6.17-18Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you. ;
1Ioan 3.3And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure. ;
2. Receive us; we have wronged no man, we have corrupted no man, we have defrauded no man.
Fapt 20.33I have coveted no man's silver, or gold, or apparel. ;
2Cor 12.17Did I make a gain of you by any of them whom I sent unto you? ;
3. I speak not this to condemn you: for I have said before, that ye are in our hearts to die and live with you.
2Cor 6.11-12O ye Corinthians, our mouth is open unto you, our heart is enlarged. ;
4. Great is my boldness of speech toward you, great is my glorying of you: I am filled with comfort, I am exceeding joyful in all our tribulation.
2Cor 3.12Seeing then that we have such hope, we use great plainness of speech: ;
1Cor 1.4I thank my God always on your behalf, for the grace of God which is given you by Jesus Christ; ;
2Cor 1.14As also ye have acknowledged us in part, that we are your rejoicing, even as ye also are our's in the day of the Lord Jesus. ;
2Cor 1.4Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God. ;
Filip 2.17Yea, and if I be offered upon the sacrifice and service of your faith, I joy, and rejoice with you all. ;
Col 1.24Who now rejoice in my sufferings for you, and fill up that which is behind of the afflictions of Christ in my flesh for his body's sake, which is the church: ;
5. For, when we were come into Macedonia, our flesh had no rest, but we were troubled on every side; without were fightings, within were fears.
2Cor 2.13I had no rest in my spirit, because I found not Titus my brother: but taking my leave of them, I went from thence into Macedonia. ;
2Cor 4.8We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; ;
Deut 32.25The sword without, and terror within, shall destroy both the young man and the virgin, the suckling also with the man of gray hairs. ;
6. Nevertheless God, that comforteth those that are cast down, comforted us by the coming of Titus;
2Cor 1.4Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God. ;
7. And not by his coming only, but by the consolation wherewith he was comforted in you, when he told us your earnest desire, your mourning, your fervent mind toward me; so that I rejoiced the more.

8. For though I made you sorry with a letter, I do not repent, though I did repent: for I perceive that the same epistle hath made you sorry, though it were but for a season.
2Cor 2.4For out of much affliction and anguish of heart I wrote unto you with many tears; not that ye should be grieved, but that ye might know the love which I have more abundantly unto you. ;
9. Now I rejoice, not that ye were made sorry, but that ye sorrowed to repentance: for ye were made sorry after a godly manner, that ye might receive damage by us in nothing.
2Sam 12.13And David said unto Nathan, I have sinned against the LORD. And Nathan said unto David, The LORD also hath put away thy sin; thou shalt not die. ;
Mat 26.75And Peter remembered the word of Jesus, which said unto him, Before the cock crow, thou shalt deny me thrice. And he went out, and wept bitterly. ;
10. For godly sorrow worketh repentance to salvation not to be repented of: but the sorrow of the world worketh death.
