21. If so be that ye have heard him, and have been taught by him, as the truth is in Jesus:
Efes 1.13In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise, ;
22. That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts;
Col 2.11In whom also ye are circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, in putting off the body of the sins of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ: ;
Col 3.8-9But now ye also put off all these; anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy communication out of your mouth. ;
Evr 12.1Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, ;
1Pet 2.1Wherefore laying aside all malice, and all guile, and hypocrisies, and envies, all evil speakings, ;
Rom 6.6Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin. ;
Efes 2.2-3Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience: ;
Efes 4.17This I say therefore, and testify in the Lord, that ye henceforth walk not as other Gentiles walk, in the vanity of their mind, ;
Col 3.7In the which ye also walked some time, when ye lived in them. ;
1Pet 4.3For the time past of our life may suffice us to have wrought the will of the Gentiles, when we walked in lasciviousness, lusts, excess of wine, revellings, banquetings, and abominable idolatries: ;
23. And be renewed in the spirit of your mind;
Rom 12.2And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. ;
Col 3.10And have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him: ;
24. And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.
Rom 6.4Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. ;
2Cor 5.17Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. ;
Gal 6.15For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision, but a new creature. ;
Efes 6.11Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. ;
Col 3.10And have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him: ;
Efes 2.10For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them. ;
25. Wherefore putting away lying, speak every man truth with his neighbour: for we are members one of another.
Zah 8.16These are the things that ye shall do; Speak ye every man the truth to his neighbour; execute the judgment of truth and peace in your gates: ;
Efes 4.15But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ: ;
Col 3.9Lie not one to another, seeing that ye have put off the old man with his deeds; ;
Rom 12.5So we, being many, are one body in Christ, and every one members one of another. ;
26. Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath:
Ps 4.4Stand in awe, and sin not: commune with your own heart upon your bed, and be still. Selah. ;
Ps 37.8Cease from anger, and forsake wrath: fret not thyself in any wise to do evil. ;
27. Neither give place to the devil.
2Cor 2.10-11To whom ye forgive any thing, I forgive also: for if I forgave any thing, to whom I forgave it, for your sakes forgave I it in the person of Christ; ;
Iac 4.7Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. ;
1Pet 5.9Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world. ;
28. Let him that stole steal no more: but rather let him labour, working with his hands the thing which is good, that he may have to give to him that needeth.
Fapt 20.35I have shewed you all things, how that so labouring ye ought to support the weak, and to remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he said, It is more blessed to give than to receive. ;
1Tes 4.11And that ye study to be quiet, and to do your own business, and to work with your own hands, as we commanded you; ;
2Tes 3.8-12Neither did we eat any man's bread for nought; but wrought with labour and travail night and day, that we might not be chargeable to any of you: ;
Luc 3.11He answereth and saith unto them, He that hath two coats, let him impart to him that hath none; and he that hath meat, let him do likewise. ;
29. Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers.
Mat 12.36But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment. ;
Efes 5.4Neither filthiness, nor foolish talking, nor jesting, which are not convenient: but rather giving of thanks. ;
Col 3.8But now ye also put off all these; anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy communication out of your mouth. ;
Col 4.6Let your speech be alway with grace, seasoned with salt, that ye may know how ye ought to answer every man. ;
1Tes 5.11Wherefore comfort yourselves together, and edify one another, even as also ye do. ;
Col 3.16Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord. ;
30. And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption.
Isa 7.13And he said, Hear ye now, O house of David; Is it a small thing for you to weary men, but will ye weary my God also? ;
Isa 63.10But they rebelled, and vexed his holy Spirit: therefore he was turned to be their enemy, and he fought against them. ;
1Tes 5.19Quench not the Spirit. ;
Efes 1.13In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise, ;
Luc 21.28And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh. ;
Rom 8.23And not only they, but ourselves also, which have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body. ;
Efes 1.14Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory. ;
