1. Finally, brethren, pray for us, that the word of the Lord may have free course, and be glorified, even as it is with you:
Efes 6.19
And for me, that utterance may be given unto me, that I may open my mouth boldly, to make known the mystery of the gospel, ;Col 4.3
Withal praying also for us, that God would open unto us a door of utterance, to speak the mystery of Christ, for which I am also in bonds: ;1Tes 5.25

2. And that we may be delivered from unreasonable and wicked men: for all men have not faith.
Rom 15.31
That I may be delivered from them that do not believe in Judaea; and that my service which I have for Jerusalem may be accepted of the saints; ;Fapt 28.24
And some believed the things which were spoken, and some believed not. ;Rom 10.16
But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Esaias saith, Lord, who hath believed our report? ;SMS

3. But the Lord is faithful, who shall stablish you, and keep you from evil.
1Cor 1.9
God is faithful, by whom ye were called unto the fellowship of his Son Jesus Christ our Lord. ;1Tes 5.24
Faithful is he that calleth you, who also will do it. ;Ioan 17.15
I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil. ;2Pet 2.9
The Lord knoweth how to deliver the godly out of temptations, and to reserve the unjust unto the day of judgment to be punished: ;SMS

4. And we have confidence in the Lord touching you, that ye both do and will do the things which we command you.
2Cor 7.16
I rejoice therefore that I have confidence in you in all things. ;Gal 5.10
I have confidence in you through the Lord, that ye will be none otherwise minded: but he that troubleth you shall bear his judgment, whosoever he be. ;SMS

5. And the Lord direct your hearts into the love of God, and into the patient waiting for Christ.
1Cron 29.18
O LORD God of Abraham, Isaac, and of Israel, our fathers, keep this for ever in the imagination of the thoughts of the heart of thy people, and prepare their heart unto thee: ;SMS

6. Now we command you, brethren, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye withdraw yourselves from every brother that walketh disorderly, and not after the tradition which he received of us.
Rom 16.17
Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned; and avoid them. ;2Tes 3.14
And if any man obey not our word by this epistle, note that man, and have no company with him, that he may be ashamed. ;1Tim 6.5
Perverse disputings of men of corrupt minds, and destitute of the truth, supposing that gain is godliness: from such withdraw thyself. ;1Cor 5.11-13
But now I have written unto you not to keep company, if any man that is called a brother be a fornicator, or covetous, or an idolater, or a railer, or a drunkard, or an extortioner; with such an one no not to eat. ;1Tes 4.11
And that ye study to be quiet, and to do your own business, and to work with your own hands, as we commanded you; ;1Tes 5.14
Now we exhort you, brethren, warn them that are unruly, comfort the feebleminded, support the weak, be patient toward all men. ;2Tes 3.11-14
For we hear that there are some which walk among you disorderly, working not at all, but are busybodies. ;2Tes 2.15
Therefore, brethren, stand fast, and hold the traditions which ye have been taught, whether by word, or our epistle. ;SMS

7. For yourselves know how ye ought to follow us: for we behaved not ourselves disorderly among you;
1Cor 4.16
Wherefore I beseech you, be ye followers of me. ;1Cor 11.1
Be ye followers of me, even as I also am of Christ. ;1Tes 1.6-7
And ye became followers of us, and of the Lord, having received the word in much affliction, with joy of the Holy Ghost. ;1Tes 2.10
Ye are witnesses, and God also, how holily and justly and unblameably we behaved ourselves among you that believe: ;SMS

8. Neither did we eat any man's bread for nought; but wrought with labour and travail night and day, that we might not be chargeable to any of you:

And because he was of the same craft, he abode with them, and wrought: for by their occupation they were tentmakers. ;Fapt 20.34
Yea, ye yourselves know, that these hands have ministered unto my necessities, and to them that were with me. ;2Cor 11.9
And when I was present with you, and wanted, I was chargeable to no man: for that which was lacking to me the brethren which came from Macedonia supplied: and in all things I have kept myself from being burdensome unto you, and so will I keep myself. ;1Tes 2.9
For ye remember, brethren, our labour and travail: for labouring night and day, because we would not be chargeable unto any of you, we preached unto you the gospel of God. ;SMS

9. Not because we have not power, but to make ourselves an ensample unto you to follow us.
1Cor 9.6
Or I only and Barnabas, have not we power to forbear working? ;1Tes 2.6
Nor of men sought we glory, neither of you, nor yet of others, when we might have been burdensome, as the apostles of Christ. ;2Tes 3.7

10. For even when we were with you, this we commanded you, that if any would not work, neither should he eat.
Gen 3.19
In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread, till thou return unto the ground; for out of it wast thou taken: for dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return. ;1Tes 4.11
