21. When he had caused the tribe of Benjamin to come near by their families, the family of Matri was taken, and Saul the son of Kish was taken: and when they sought him, he could not be found.
22. Therefore they inquired of the LORD further, if the man should yet come thither. And the LORD answered, Behold he hath hid himself among the stuff.
1Sam 23.2-11Therefore David inquired of the LORD, saying, Shall I go and smite these Philistines? And the LORD said unto David, Go, and smite the Philistines, and save Keilah. ;
23. And they ran and fetched him thence: and when he stood among the people, he was higher than any of the people from his shoulders and upward.
1Sam 9.2And he had a son, whose name was Saul, a choice young man, and a goodly: and there was not among the children of Israel a goodlier person than he: from his shoulders and upward he was higher than any of the people. ;
24. And Samuel said to all the people, See ye him whom the LORD hath chosen, that there is none like him among all the people? And all the people shouted, and said, God save the king.
2Sam 21.6Let seven men of his sons be delivered unto us, and we will hang them up unto the LORD in Gibeah of Saul, whom the LORD did choose. And the king said, I will give them. ;

25. Then Samuel told the people the manner of the kingdom, and wrote it in a book, and laid it up before the LORD. And Samuel sent all the people away, every man to his house.
Deut 17.14When thou art come unto the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee, and shalt possess it, and shalt dwell therein, and shalt say, I will set a king over me, like as all the nations that are about me; ;
1Sam 8.11And he said, This will be the manner of the king that shall reign over you: He will take your sons, and appoint them for himself, for his chariots, and to be his horsemen; and some shall run before his chariots. ;
26. And Saul also went home to Gibeah; and there went with him a band of men, whose hearts God had touched.
Jud 20.14But the children of Benjamin gathered themselves together out of the cities unto Gibeah, to go out to battle against the children of Israel. ;
1Sam 11.4Then came the messengers to Gibeah of Saul, and told the tidings in the ears of the people: and all the people lifted up their voices, and wept. ;
27. But the children of Belial said, How shall this man save us? And they despised him, and brought no presents. But he held his peace.
1Sam 11.12And the people said unto Samuel, Who is he that said, Shall Saul reign over us? bring the men, that we may put them to death. ;
