1. When thou sittest to eat with a ruler, consider diligently what is before thee:

2. And put a knife to thy throat, if thou be a man given to appetite.

3. Be not desirous of his dainties: for they are deceitful meat.

4. Labour not to be rich: cease from thine own wisdom.

A faithful man shall abound with blessings: but he that maketh haste to be rich shall not be innocent. ;1Tim 6.9-10
But they that will be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and hurtful lusts, which drown men in destruction and perdition. ;Prov 3.5
Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. ;Rom 12.16
Be of the same mind one toward another. Mind not high things, but condescend to men of low estate. Be not wise in your own conceits. ;SMS

5. Wilt thou set thine eyes upon that which is not? for riches certainly make themselves wings; they fly away as an eagle toward heaven.

6. Eat thou not the bread of him that hath an evil eye, neither desire thou his dainty meats:

8. The morsel which thou hast eaten shalt thou vomit up, and lose thy sweet words.

10. Remove not the old landmark; and enter not into the fields of the fatherless:
Deut 19.14
Thou shalt not remove thy neighbor's landmark, which they of old time have set in thine inheritance, which thou shalt inherit in the land that the LORD thy God giveth thee to possess it. ;Deut 27.17
Cursed be he that removeth his neighbor's landmark. And all the people shall say, Amen. ;Prov 22.28
