Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness. ;

12. The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armour of light.

13. Let us walk honestly, as in the day; not in rioting and drunkenness, not in chambering and wantonness, not in strife and envying.

For the time past of our life may suffice us to have wrought the will of the Gentiles, when we walked in lasciviousness, lusts, excess of wine, revellings, banquetings, and abominable idolatries: ;1Cor 6.9
Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, ;Efes 5.5
For this ye know, that no whoremonger, nor unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, hath any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God. ;Iac 3.14
But if ye have bitter envying and strife in your hearts, glory not, and lie not against the truth. ;

14. But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh, to fulfil the lusts thereof.
