11. Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another.
Mat 18.33Shouldest not thou also have had compassion on thy fellowservant, even as I had pity on thee? ;
Ioan 15.12-13This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you. ;
1Ioan 3.16Hereby perceive we the love of God, because he laid down his life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren. ;
12. No man hath seen God at any time. If we love one another, God dwelleth in us, and his love is perfected in us.
Ioan 1.18No man hath seen God at any time, the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him. ;
1Tim 6.16Who only hath immortality, dwelling in the light which no man can approach unto; whom no man hath seen, nor can see: to whom be honour and power everlasting. Amen. ;
1Ioan 4.20If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen? ;
1Ioan 2.5But whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in him. ;
1Ioan 4.18There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love. ;
13. Hereby know we that we dwell in him, and he in us, because he hath given us of his Spirit.
Ioan 14.20At that day ye shall know that I am in my Father, and ye in me, and I in you. ;
1Ioan 3.24And he that keepeth his commandments dwelleth in him, and he in him. And hereby we know that he abideth in us, by the Spirit which he hath given us. ;
14. And we have seen and do testify that the Father sent the Son to be the Saviour of the world.
Ioan 1.14And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth. ;
1Ioan 1.1-2That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, of the Word of life; ;
Ioan 3.17For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. ;
15. Whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God dwelleth in him, and he in God.
Rom 10.9That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. ;
1Ioan 5.1-5Whosoever believeth that Jesus is the Christ is born of God: and every one that loveth him that begat loveth him also that is begotten of him. ;
16. And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him.
1Ioan 4.8He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love. ;
1Ioan 3.24And he that keepeth his commandments dwelleth in him, and he in him. And hereby we know that he abideth in us, by the Spirit which he hath given us. ;

17. Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world.

19. We love him, because he first loved us.
20. If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen?
1Ioan 2.4He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. ;
1Ioan 3.17But whoso hath this world's good, and seeth his brother have need, and shutteth up his bowels of compassion from him, how dwelleth the love of God in him? ;
