SMS13. Then Samuel took the horn of oil, and anointed him in the midst of his brethren: and the Spirit of the LORD came upon David from that day forward. So Samuel rose up, and went to Ramah.

Then Samuel took a vial of oil, and poured it upon his head, and kissed him, and said, Is it not because the LORD hath anointed thee to be captain over his inheritance? ;Ps 89.20

And the Spirit of the LORD came mightily upon him, and he rent him as he would have rent a kid, and he had nothing in his hand: but he told not his father or his mother what he had done. ;1Sam 10.6-10
And the Spirit of the LORD will come upon thee, and thou shalt prophesy with them, and shalt be turned into another man. ;SMS

And Saul was afraid of David, because the LORD was with him, and was departed from Saul. ;1Sam 28.15
And Samuel said to Saul, Why hast thou disquieted me, to bring me up? And Saul answered, I am sore distressed; for the Philistines make war against me, and God is departed from me, and answereth me no more, neither by prophets, nor by dreams: therefore I have called thee, that thou mayest make known unto me what I shall do. ;Jud 16.20
And she said, The Philistines be upon thee, Samson. And he awoke out of his sleep, and said, I will go out as at other times before, and shake myself. And he wist not that the LORD was departed from him. ;Ps 51.11
Cast me not away from thy presence; and take not thy holy spirit from me. ;Jud 9.23
Then God sent an evil spirit between Abimelech and the men of Shechem; and the men of Shechem dealt treacherously with Abimelech: ;1Sam 18.10
And it came to pass on the morrow, that the evil spirit from God came upon Saul, and he prophesied in the midst of the house: and David played with his hand, as at other times: and there was a javelin in Saul's hand. ;1Sam 19.9
And the evil spirit from the LORD was upon Saul, as he sat in his house with his javelin in his hand: and David played with his hand. ;SMS

But now bring me a minstrel. And it came to pass, when the minstrel played, that the hand of the LORD came upon him. ;SMS

A man's gift maketh room for him, and bringeth him before great men. ;SMS
